The Governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy High Chief Owolabi Salis stated today on a TV programme with silverbird television, that “one person is comfortably sitting on the resources of Lagos state and using these resources to enslave the people”.


On the TV programme, titled head to head, Salis revealed that this person was also indirectly responsible for the menace caused by violent brigades all over the state. Speaking further on violence in Lagos state, the ADC Governorship hopeful stated that no one has monopoly of violence and thus he (Salis) could be the most dangerous politician in the state, but he was not ready to take that part. He said Lagosians are living in fear and hence their commonwealth must be taken back.
The Governorship candidate also revealed that he was part of the famous NADECO struggle, and he fought for Nigeria’s democracy in the united states before the civilian handover in 1999.

The high chief emphasized that the major factor mitigating against the development of Lagos state was the fact that one individual controlled the commonwealth. He however did not expressly state the name of this “all powerful person”.
