It's a very different thing from a getting an premature emancipation from a judge.

This way you are free from any legal bond from your parents.

For example I know in Italy elderly people have the right to be taken care of by their children but in the case of a divorce this can happen and the old person will probably finish in a house for old people.

In the western countries a child can go and live alone eventhough he is not yet 18, I mean the law recognizes him as an adult, if he is subjected to maltreatments from his parents.

It has happened and it happens. I once watched  a show where there was a man who divorced his parents when he was young because they had taken over the money he had earned from his music business.

My research was mainly about the States. There are some states where the law allow children below 18 to emancipate.

Generalizing it to the western country is wrong.
