Ahead of the February 16th Presidential Election, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has assured President Muhammadu Buhari of handsome vote from the state.

Governor Akeredolu spoke at the MKO Democracy Park, venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally in Ondo State on Tuesday, 5th February, 2019.

Akure, the capital of the state was locked down as massive crowd trooped out to Welcome President Buhari and his entourage to the sunshine state.

Governor Akeredolu said : "In 2015, even when APC was not in government, we delivered Ondo for you Mr President. Now, the All Progressives Congress is in government in Ondo State.

"Mr President, be rest assured that we will deliver handsome votes for you. The people of Ondo State are indomitable. We know what you stand for. I can assure you we will vote massively for APC "

The Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo while making his own remark said 9.2 million children benefit from the Federal Government school feeding programme. But the target is 13 million. He also revealed that the N- Power Programme has over 500'000 beneficiaries and government target was 1.5 million at the Next Level.

According to the Vice President the Lagos /Ibadan railway would be commissioned on 7th February this year.

"President Buhari built the 3 refineries when he was Minister of Petroleum but the people who are now campaigning that they want to return to power couldn't add anything to it in their sixteen years in power.

" The South West people are stakeholders in the present Government. I then urge you to vote for APC."

President Buhari who spoke to crown the campaign said his administration has fulfilled all the campaign promises he made in 2015.

" The Vice President has made my job easy because he's the chairman of the Economy Council. In economy, we have empowered our people to overcome poverty. We have stopped importation of rice.

"We would continue to work hard to secure our people. We have made tremendous progress in the fight against corruption and we shall continue to work hard to secure our people.

"When we came, Boko Haram was in charge of seventeen local government areas in Borno state but now Boko Haram has been reduced abysmally low"

President Mohammadu Buhari said corruption was developed into a culture but we have changed that.

The President earlier met with traditional rulers in Ondo State at the GPM Event Centre, Oba Ile, Akure.

See Ipob wailing. People didn't even come out to welcome Atiku whereas we waited and waited for Buhari, our beloved.

Ondo is for Buhari. If you don't like it, go back to the East. Aketi, carry go.

people are praising Buhari for bypassing judicial processes and suspending Onnoghen but the same Buhari has not made open his own asset declaration as he promised in 2014. It's more shocking that CCB refused to give Punch the asset declaration forms of Abba Kyari, Amechi, Lai, Fashola etc. Those who praised him over Onnoghen cannot see Buhari's double-standards and mischief.the only place Buhari has scored high is on his partial corruption fight. Why would his party chairman say if you want your sins to be forgiven, come over to APC. Thats a direct testament to partiality in the corruption fight. As regards the Economy, Power, Works, etc, he has scored less than 10percent compared to what he promised.Nigerians are also unwilling to protest in the face of a rigged election - They will just manage it instead.
Nigerians are not prepared to war.

the first step towards progress in any democratic society is never to allow a failed government return to power. Even though I thought and knew Buhari was a higher evil than Jonathan, I was happy at Jonathan’s defeat, because it meant that Nigerians had learnt not to repeat failure. Whether or not the coming elections are rigged, Nigerians must once again show their power against an incumbent failure. This is a way to build up an ideology against bad governance and myopic leadership. It does not mean that I think Atiku is far better than Buhari, but I know that Buhari has done nothing that warrants his re-election.There's a huge difference between HE Atiku Abubakar and the lifeless one. The lifeless one is naturally unintelligent and extremely rigid, can't differentiate his left from his right and has no plan to change the system. He's like a remote control.
Atiku is flexible and a business friendly guy who has friends everywhere and already has a policy framework which he's going to pursue vigorously for the betterment of Nigerians.
