Health workers (JOHESU) begin a three days warning strike. The Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) and Health Care Professionals have embarked on a three-day warning strike over Federal Government’s failure to respond to their demands on payment of salaries. The health workers, at the University Hospital in Abuja, joined the protest in compliance with the directives from the National Secretariat of JOHESU, asking members to commence a rally from 8 am to 12 noon each day. The protest is based on salaries withheld by the federal government for the month of April and May 2018 on the basis of ‘No Work, No Pay’policy. The union called on government to come to the aids of workers, saying they deserve better treatment. It also said that discrimination in the health sector is evil and the atrocities, illegalities and tyranny must stop. Pay JOHESU |
