Prof Okechukwu Ibeanu is in charge of this Logistic disaster.

The PDP liars are out and about again lying that Madam Zakari is in charge of Logistics. You guys are bloody liars. Prof. Okechukwu Ibeanu is @inecnigeria Elections Operations and Logistics National Commissioner, not Amina Zakari .

Zakari is in Health and Welfare. When she was moved from Logistics to Collation you all raised hell. That was just a while ago. Suddenly you have taken her back to logistics in your lying imaginations. Prof Okechukwu Ibeanu is in Logistics. Only God knows why the INEC chairman took him to Logistics a few weeks to elections.

Here is INEC appointing Prof Okechukwu Ibeanu to head that unit in 2018.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced minor reshuffle in the chairmanship of standing committees which affected the former chairman of the Commission, Amina Zakari and four other National Commissioners.

National Commissioner and Member, Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, who made the disclosure, in a statement, did not, however, disclose the reason for such decision taken after its weekly meeting, in Abuja, on Thursday.

According to the statement, those affected in the reshuffle included Festus Okoye, Solomon Adedeji Soyebi, Mohammed Mustafa Lecky, Amina Bala Zakari and Okechukwu Ibeanu.

The Commission further revealed that no political party among the 89 of them that nominated candidates for the 2019 general elections has submitted sponsored candidates (Form CF002) and personal particulars (Form CF001) to the center designed by the Commission for the collection of the said documents.

“The chairmanship of five out of its 15 Standing Committees have been re-organised as follows; Information and Voter Education Committee, Barr. Festus Okoye, Board of the Electoral Institute, Asolomon Adedeji Soyebi, Planning, Monitoring and Strategy Committee, Mohammed Mustafa Lecky, Health and Welfare Committee, Amina Bala Zakari, Electoral Operations and Logistics Committee, Okechukwu Ibeanu,” the Commission announced.

While warning that the deadline for the submission remains sacrosanct, the statement further said, “INEC held its usual weekly meeting October 11 and noted none of the 89 registered political parties that notified the Commission of their intentions to conduct their primaries has submitted the list of its sponsored candidates (Form CF002) and personal particulars (Form CF001) to the center designed by the Commission for the collection of the said documents.

“The deadlines for the submission of Form CF002 and Form CF001 for the 2019 general elections remains: Presidential and National Assembly; October 18, 2018. Governorship and State Assemblies; November 2, 2018,” the statement read.

Is this not what I have shouting since morning...

It is no longer news that the 2019 general elections have been postponed due to operational and logistic difficulties but the question to ask is..... Who is to be blamed? Could this ugly incident be avoided.

Recall that about 4 months ago due to pressure mounted by the PDP on INEC, the commission removed Amina Zakari from operation and logistics unit to Healthcare and Welfare unit. This is somebody who has worked in that department for years, gathering alot of experience in logistic issues however due to pressure she was replaced with Professor Okechukwu Ibeanu a newly appointed National Commissioner without much experience and the result is what we are seeing today.

https://nextedition.com.ng/2018/10/12/2019-inec-removes-amina-zakari-as-head-of-electoral-operations/amp/

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has removed Mrs. Amina Bala Zakari as the head of its Electoral Operations and Logistics Committee.

She is now the head of INEC’s Health and Welfare Committee.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the National Commissioner and Member, Information and Vote Education Committee, Malam Mohammed Haruna on Thursday.

Zakari has been criticized by the leading opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over her roles in some of the elections held recently.

She was accused of involvement in alleged rigging that characterized the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

Her removal followed the re-organisatioin of some standing committees of INEC.

With the new arrangement, Barrister Festus Okoye now heads the Information and Voter Education Committee; Prince Solomon Adedeji Soyebi is of the Board of the Electoral Institute; Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Lecky heads the Planning, Monitoring and Strategy Committee while Professor Okechukwu Ibeanu heads the Electoral Operations and Logistics Committee.

Meanwhile, INEC has disclosed that none of the 89 political parties that notified it of their intention to conduct their primaries has submitted the list of its sponsored candidates and personal particulars to the centre for the purpose of collection.

INEC stated that the deadline for the submission of the list and other particulars for the 2019 general elections for Presidential and National Assembly candidates remained October 18, 2018 and Governorship and State House of Assembly, November 2, 2018.

Only two months that the ibo man was in logistics, they want him to clear the mess of Amina zakari of 4 years in INEC logistics.

How many years has Amina been incompetent in INEC as logistics head that knows nothing?

Nigeria eh!

I mentioned it earlier on a front page thread that Igbos are the problems of this country. They do not realize how weak they are and are easily used by PDP.

It's very easy for igbos and PDPs to point blame fingers but when the tide is against them, they run into hiding.

First, two of the three burnt INEC offices are in the east, therefore, the postponement was to their favor so they won't have to cry about injustice or rigging.

Now that they realize the person in charge of logistics is their brother, let's see if they will come out to deny him

Prof. Okechukwu should step down as chairman of INEC logistics committee immediately. He is not just incompetent, he’s also biased. I have it on good authority that he’s related to Peter Obi. The picture of how saboteurs were able to penetrate INEC is now getting clearer. Arsonist have been burning down exact locations of where card readers were kept all through the week and we know the particular political party that had gone to court to stop INEC from using card readers. Okechukwu has been providing PDP leaders with the address of the exact locations of the card readers in the targeted states. All patriotic Nigerians must insist that he should be removed as head of INEC logistics committee. He’s shamelessly compromised.
