How's light situation in your area presently?
Its been terribly horrible along the airport road in Abuja
We cannot boast of 8hrs of power supply in a day while the FG boasts of 5MW generation?
AEDC keeps barbing the head of unmetered customers with outrageous bills inspite of the darkness they supply!

Here in the outskirts..of abuja......power is now...10 hours a day for 1-2 days...then darkness.

I don't expect an improvement soon. The truth is we generate 5000MW on a good day...7000MW on a really good day. Meanwhile, according to APC 's candidate for the Lagos governorship elections, Lagos town needs 15000MW.

I used to be on AEDC's estimated billing at my previous address. I paid 5000-11000naira monthly. On meter now...I pay N3000 monthly(I try as much as possible to conserve power...power saving bulbs, plus switch off lights when not needed.). I know people won't like me when I say that we need to pay higher bills...but how else can we get the money needed to fix everything...especially now that it is private.

As things stand....bills have to go up before we see improvement...OR we take a big hefty loan to fix things...which still means higher bills.

In Warri,
We have 6 hours of light and they turn it off for another 6 hours.
This happens two days in a row.
Then on the third day it will be total black out.
We call it, 2 days on 1 day off.
Note that in those 6 hours of light, it is still within their discretion to take it, so in those 6 hours , you might still be out of power for some hours.
Totally terrible especially in this hot season
