Sensationalism. I can bet the assessment is based on ignorance of the government.

The article even says NNPC is the debt collection arm of government. Too much ignorance.

post=75985678:

Just imagine what $20 BILLION dollars will do in our country's economy.
Just imagine the infrastructures it will bring.
For the first time in this nation, we have a President that we can trust not to mismanaged or loot out national treasure.
The thief of a party call PDP will never announce this to the nation, but will rather share it among themselves.
It was under PMB's administration that some people know that they have been returning Abacha's loot for years, but we got to know that under Buhari's government,
When we saw ( not the willfully blind people tho) all the good projects he is doing all over the country with the returned loot,
but PDP and his corrupt politicians silently and codedly shared it among themselves with no one knowing when and how.

GOD BLESS OUR PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI., as in...GOD WILL BLESS HIM SO MUCH ALL THE REMAINING YEARS OF HIS LIFE.

A MAN AFTER OUR HEART.
PURE AND TRUE LOVE is what we have for our Darling Daddy

So pathetic

Buhari.. We are talking about introducing Tax relief so that more companies can come, you are over taxing the already taxed companies.

He is not overtaxing. They are the ones dodging and I am sure you read that they are also dodging the states they owe taxes. This means the FG is also fighting for the states.

Some of you never read to understand

Dangote is paying his own taxes via tax rebates.

Build roads for reduced taxes initiative started by this FG.

Ignorance isn't a good thing

Nigerians are very unpatriotic. Foreign companies owes your government monies that can be used to improve your country but you are here insulting your government for asking defaulting companies to pay because of politics. This is very sad.

APC, if you like start now to give us free food or start now to do the job you were supposed to do since 4years, we won't vote you. Is it now that you know you would do that?

Your vote is actually not morethan one and it is not needed for APC victory

Who is this rookie economist? Is that how Europe and America joke with tax holiday? No economy grows without taxes. In as much we encourage more investors into the country does not give room to unnecessary free lunch.

As in, it's really frustrating as well. You read some comments and be like " Did this person actually to school"?. It's a general problem with the educational system that does not allow for free thinking or teach people how to think critically.

How is that even possible?

These guys literarily work hand in hand with NNPC.

How hard is it to deduct taxes and royalties directly from their earnings? These people are not that stupid.

The last time I checked agreement can be reached with banks to automatically deduct and remit taxes.

Believe this at your own peril angry

You have not heard the side of the IOC that are beung dubbed tax defaulters. I am a tax professional and used to both government and IOC tax affairs. Most likely, it is a non-existent tax.
