The so called educated people in Lagos have remained under the thumb of a single man while the so-called "illiterates" of Kano have taken their destiny into their own hands

I hope you praised these same Kano "illiterates" when they resoundly rejected the Atiku that the educated Southerners carried on their heads and backbone, and rather re-elected Buhari as President?

Free advice: Wait for official results before you start praising those you would soon insult.

Irony of Politics.
Funny thing here is that they are even praising the Kwankwaso political godfather who enthroned his boy Ganduje to replace him after his own tenure as Governor, and is now trying to sack that same Ganduje because he broke free from the Kwankwasiyya godfatherism. How then is Kwankwasiyya different from Jagabanism that we should then celebrate one who wants to continue controlling Kano, but condemn same in Lagos?

Or is Kwankwaso not a single man like Tinubu and with a political thumb over Kano state as governor in 1999, just like Tinubu as governor in Lagos in same 1999?

Yet a clown is saying the Kano "illiterates" are rejecting godfatherism? Is it by embracing a Kwankwaso/Kwankwasiyya who is the godfather of Ganduje who wants to be free from his control? Is it by voting as Governor, the son in law of Kwankwaso who was forced on the PDP?

https://www.thecable.ng/kwankwaso-want-son-law-govern-kano/amp

Would we have celebrated freedom of Lagos if electorates rejected Ambode as APC candidate, and rather voted a candidate of Tinubu and Jagabanism if they had decamped to the Labour Party upon disagreement with Ambode in APC?

Lastly, is there a sound opposition party in Lagos? Or is it the same PDP that the state party chairman, Moshood Salvador, decamped to APC last year? The same Lagos state PDP that the party chieftains in Lagos use such exalted positions in PDP to negotiate their entry into APC?

I think you lot don't reason before you come online to critic Tinubu. Majority of the opposition politicians in Lagos are lazy. Very lazy I repeat. Election isn't about taking out godfathers, it is about selling your agenda to the people.

Jimi hid for 4yrs. He didn't show up when Lagosians were fed up with the misdeeds of Ambode. He didn't engage the electorate for 4yrs, then he will now come out and be claiming he wants to free lagos from a godfather. He was addressing Lagosians from the comfort of his parlour and on social media. Is that not laziness?

On the other hand, Jide was all over the place, selling his candidacy to the vulcanizer, hairdressers, artists, road sweepers, etc. And you expect that man to fail. He didn't depend on the political structure of APC in Lagos only. He went far and wide to reach all Lagosians in 6 months. That is hard work. He didn't take anything for granted.

Majority of Jimi supporters on twitter are not voters in Lagos. After 12 yrs of defeat, is it not right to to have re-strategized? In 2015, rather than do hard work, he depended on Abuja forces and introduced ethnic politics. That's sheer laziness.

The same Tinubu that you guys criticise is always encouraging his party members to work hard and earn every support they get. Tinubu that you claim is a godfather ignored the loyalty of Ambode and listened to his party members from the grassroot when they said they don't want Ambode anymore. He gave in to their request because he knows that the leadership he enjoys in Lagos is as a result of the workings of the political structure in the grassroots. That is the difference between Tinubu and Saraki. Saraki lost the grassroot but Tinubu empowers his grassroot political structure.

And you now think #Otoge can work in Lagos or Kano will teach Lagos a lesson. Until opposition gets to work hard for four years to put political structure and ideology on ground that is far better and rewarding than what APC has put on ground, they cannot win Lagos. It is not lack of progress in Lagos or political stupidity on the part of Lagosians but the laziness on the part of opposition. You cannot take Lagos by propaganda from the comfort of your home but by real mobilization and engagement at the grassroots beyond election period.

My honest advice to Lagos PDP is that they should immediately employ a political strategist, that will provide an engagement and ideological roadmap for them to implement in the next 4 years if they are serious!

Simple as that!

Tinubu has something which most people dont understand that is why he will always excel

1. He is a grassroot man. He might be rich but he never forgets his poor people like Vulcanisers, market women, conductors etc. who are always loyal to him.
WHen tinubu was governor we used to hear of how he goes to Island to his root to hang out with boys even smoke weed with them. But other politicians will get to power and only stick to VGC and Ikoyi
Elections are not won by elites in VGC rather by artisans in Iyana-Ipaja

Fashola spent 8yrs as governor, Ambode spent 4, How many times did they go to all these lowly people. At a time Fashola was tagged governor of Lagos Island since they dont feel his effect in low places. That is why none of them can win their ward if Tinubu goes against them.

Tinubu always reminds his followers never to forget the grassroot because they will determine your fate. All those who forgot the grassroot always suffer

The only advantage Tinubu has right now is the support of Igbo for Agbaje.

Nobody should be proud of Tinubu as a leader, that is why other Yoruba states are rejecting him. The disrespect, fear and effrontery display by Igbo work very well into Tinubu hands.

Yoruba has never been short of capable leaders, Tinubu fear them. Take Fashola, Banire, late Funsho Williams, Finnih, Mamora and many others. Tinubu tried to kill their careers out of fear.

He even worked against the Yoruba Lady Speaker to be, with the cooperation of Igbo. So those who claim Tinubu has Yoruba at heart are fooling themselves. Tinubu would drive a hot shaft through his mother's ass to get his loot.

How have Kano "illiterates" taken their destinies in their hands by voting for the continuation of the Kwankwasiyya political godfatherism that has tried to control Kano since 1999?

How are they free when they still have to wear the red cap of servitude to Kwankwaso and his Kwankwasiyya political movement, when they could have freed themselves the way Ganduje freed himself from his Godfather Kwankwaso?

Are Kano "illiterates" not tired of this same Kwankwaso control since 1999? Must he foist his son-in-law on Kano?

Hypocrites. So now Lagosians are supposed to learn from Kano people because Kwankwaso's handpicked candidate/godson (who also happens to be his son inlaw) is winning kano? Una dey condemn Tinubu in Lagos while praising Kwankwaso who handpicked his son-in-law in Kano to replace Ganduje his former protege -- same thing Rochas Okorocha was condemned for. I am sure these hypocrites would have also praised Saraki if he had won. This Igbo obsession with Lagos and Tinubu matter is really something. Tufiakwa.

Just admit that Atiku was a failure in the North, and move on with your sorrows.

The same Atiku who couldn't win his polling unit right in his very presence, now the local politicians have won same polling unit for PDP.

Stop confusing local state politics to Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Ignorant Igbos and lazy PDP jokers. I guess the hate mongering, tribe baiting and o to ge didn't work on Lagosians

Instead of campaigning and promoting their policies and manifesto, they spent a whole year spewing rubbish about certificate and Jubrin from Sudan.

Instead of campaigning against Sanwo Olu, the man they are contesting against, they focused on Tinubu and even imported Igbos to shout otoge in Lagos as if Tinubu was the candidate running for office.

@ Ignorant ipob OP, Tinubu did not force Lagosians to the polls, Lagosians know all about PDP and soundly rejected that worthless party and their candidate, the lazy and incompetent Agbaje who is already back to peddling Alabukun inside his pharmacy in Apapa for the next 4 years.

Actually, Kano APC should have learnt from Lagos. If Ganduje had been replaced as the party candidate, the party won’t be in this current situation. The people of Kano voted against Ganduje and not APC. The same would probably have happened in Lagos if APC had not replaced Ambode.

Exactly!! Ambode was fiercely loyal to Tinubu but he had lost the street. Tinubu who knows that he's nothing without the streets had to kowtow to the demand of the streets hence Ambode was dropped. The streets rule Lagos. Tinubu is just the face
