The Peoples Democratic Party has won 111 seats in the House of Representatives, compared to a majority of 211 seats clinched by the All Progressives Congress.

According to the list of the ninth House of Representatives members-elect on the website of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the All Progressives Grand Alliance will have six members; the Action Democratic Congress, three; the Action Alliance, two and the Peoples Redemption Party, two members.

The African Democratic Party, the Allied Peoples Movement and the Social Democratic Party won a seat each.

APC wins 15 Plateau Assembly seats, PDP, 8

In Plateau State, INEC said that it would conduct a run-off in Langtang South Constituency after a winner could not emerge during last Saturday’s poll.

But the commission said the APC won in 15 constituencies, while the PDP secured eight seats.

It was observed that the winner for the Langtang South Constituency was not included in the list released by INEC.

When contacted, INEC Head of Voter Education in the state, Mr Osaretin Imahiyereobo, explained that there were problems with the results for the Lantang South.

He added that the commission would conduct a run-off in the Langtang South.

The INEC official also disclosed that a bye-election would soon be conducted to replace the winner for Pengana Constituency in Bassa Council Area of the state, Mr Ezekiel Afou, who died shortly after he was declared winner of last Saturday’s poll on the platform of the APC.

APC wins 39 out of 40 seats in Lagos Assembly

The APC won 39 seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly in the election that was held on Saturday.

The election in the Ibeju I Constituency was, however, declared inconclusive by INEC.

The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa and Oluyinka Ogundimu won their re-election in Agege I and Agege II respectively on the platform of the APC.

Lukman Olumoh and Fatai Oluwa won in Ajeromi-Ifelodun I and II respectively, while Adebisi Yusuf and Joseph Kehinde won in Alimosho I and II.

Other APC members who won their constituencies elections are Mojisola Alli (Amuwo-Odofin 1); Rauf Age-Suleman (Amuwo-Odofin II); Lasbat Maranda (Apapa I); Wahab Olumuyiwa (Apapa II); Ibrahim Layode (Badagry I); David Setonji (Badagry II); Bolanle Agunbiade (Ikorodu I) and Nurudeen Solaja (Ikorodu II).

The Special Adviser to the state Governor on Food Security, Mr Babatunde Sanni, also won in the Kosofe I Constituency while Braimoh Olatunde won the Kosofe II Constituency.

In Lagos Island I and II, Olatunji Wasiu and Suleman Olanrewaju won in the constituencies respectively, while Ibrahim Owolabi and Moshood Oshun won the Lagos Mainland I and II state constituencies respectively.

Other winners are Nureni Akinsanya (Mishun I); Olawale Olawale (Mushin II); Victor Akande (Ojo I); Olatunji Tijani (Ojo II); Hakeem Sokunle (Oshodi/Isolo I); Emeka Idimogun (Oshodi/Isolo II); Emmanuel Olowo (Shomolu I) and Lateef Abiru (Shomolu II).

A Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot won his re-election bid in Surulere State Constituency I, while Mosunmola Sangodara won in Surulere II constituency.

In a related development, out of the 24 House of Representatives seats in Lagos, the APC won 20, the PDP won three constituencies while election in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Federal Constituency was suspended on court orders.

The APC won in Agege, Ifako/Ijaiye, Alimosho, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Lagos Island I and II, Lagos Mainland I and II, Ojo, Mushin I and II, Oshodi/Isolo I and II, Shomolu, Kosofe and Surulere I Federal constituencies.

The PDP won in Surulere II, Ojo and Amuwo-Odofin federal constituencies.

NEC to conduct runoff in three Bayelsa constituencies

Meanwhile, INEC on Tuesday said that it would conduct a run-off in the three constituencies in Bayelsa State, where elections were declared inconclusive.

INEC Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Wilfred Ifogah, who announced this in Yenagoa, listed the constituencies as Ogbia Constituency 11, Brass 1 and Southern-Ijaw IV.

Out of the 24 seats in the Bayelsa House of Assembly, results of 21 have been declared; with the PDP winning 17, while the APC claimed four.

Ifogah explained that the reason for declaring result of three constituencies inconclusive was due to failure to follow INEC’s guidelines for the conduct of the 2019 general elections.

He said that the commission would inform stakeholders of the new date to conduct the election.

In a related development, the people of Basambiri, in Nembe Local Government Area have debunked a statement credited to the Bayelsa State Government that elections did not take place in the community.

Speaking to newsmen who went to monitor the election on Saturday, the Youth President of the community, Iruo Theo, the woman leader of the APC, Emmanuel Favour and Chief Agent Belele, said the election went on smoothly in the area.

Belele, who is the Deputy Chief of the community, said those who did not come for the elections on Saturday were those that had their hands soiled in the killing of an APC member during the presidential election.

He said contrary to the claims by the PDP members that the APC sympathisers chased them away from the community, he said it was the PDP thugs that killed an APC member.

We aren't celebrating you people until you start making things right in this Country.

Majority or Minority, we don't give a heck about that, pass Bills that'll affect positively the Governmental Bodies, A Common Citizen & the All Round Growth of the "Giant of Africa".

Nigerians needs to stop celebrating Mediocrity,
We need to stop celebrating petty things,
We need to start demanding for the Majors,
We need to Rise above Emotional Traumas,
The Fate of Africa lies on our Shoulders.

A better Nigeria is not good enough.

We Don't Want A Better Nigeria, We Demand A GREAT NIGERIA"

APC gradually infiltrating the SS. It's surprising that APC also has a senator from Bayelsa.
