Choice Between Masters Scholarship In The UK Vs High Paying Job

Hello guys. I'm kinda in a dilemma rgt now. I'm a medical doctor about #500k a month with allowances. However I have been offered a scholarship for masters in the UK and I'm hoping to practice over these subsequently.

However I'm torn between resigning my job here in Nigeria (which though quite high paying but is riddled with frustrations from poor working conditions to poor facilities to practice my skills as a surgeon etc) OR accepting the scholarship offer and moving onto a place with good facilities and potentials.

I have this fear of the unknown, if I resign over here and move over there only to discover things aren't what it seemed or as rosy as I thought. Advice urgently needed pls.

Bros I use god beg you. Take that 500k per month job oo.

Abroad is overrated. No one will tell you until you get there.

Abeg which Residency is paying you 500k? No resident earns that much in Nigeria. That's a new consultant salary.

U don't know anything, come to OAUTHC and see Senior Reg earning 500k+ grin

Like I always said, Nigerian are their own problems until we realize that this nation will never move an inch of progress.

I know I'm offpoint, that's what everyone thinks of me... but I'm always on the right path, so please don't quote to insult me if your IQ is lower than my UBA account balance. if you care to know, it's N32.00

My broda if you were in their shoes what will you do?
When you are a genius doctor in a country ruled by barbarians whose citizens are in an ignorance entanglement, and they don't care or appreciate if you are a genius or not, what will you do?
The best is to migrate and fight from outside

Mr you are yet to do your Masters and you are already receiving 500k in Nigeria?

Bro be honest to yourself then you will get honest advise.

A poor working condition, non conducive environ to work, frustration etc as you mentioned and yet such poor managed organization still cough out 500k monthly for you?

Bro I have issue with your post because I'm a employer of Labour so I know what is going on out there what you postedhere is of questionable facts ok. No offense but I'm not buying buying it, it sound freaking bogus.

I didn't see your post when you initially made it, but let me correct you and those who ignorantly liked your post.

The postgraduate training/pathway is quite different from the masters/PhD pathway for other professions(you can only do masters in para medical and basic clinical courses, but not in core medical specialties).
That of medicine is called Residency program, run in two divided components, lasting for a total of 4 to 6yrs, depending on the specialty.
For surgery which the op is undergoing, it's for a total of 6yrs.
After the first 3yrs of rigorous work and training, he wrote Part 1 exam organized by the West African College Of Surgeons or the National Postgraduate Medicine College of Nigeria, and a pass earned him a membership certificate of the related college.
This certificate already qualifies him as a specialist in his specialty, and outweighs the masters you get in other professions.

You can see why he didn't need your "ordinary" masters degree to earn that amount.
Even MBBS is weighted above masters, as it places a medical graduate at level12 in the civil service.
There's nothing hard to believe there, as I also earned the same amount after paying Part 1 of the same exams while undergoing postgraduate training in Nigeria.
