President Muhammadu Buhari Arrives Lagos, Inaugurates projects

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) Ikeja, Lagos for his one-day official visit and commission of some projects in the state.

The visit is expected to last between 11:00am and 3pm, during which traffic will be diverted on some key routes around Ikeja and its environs.

The president was received by the state governor Akinwumni Ambode and other dignitaries including Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti.

Plateau PDP Suspends Chairman, Deputy Over Alleged Diversion of Campaign, IDPs Funds

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has suspended its Chairman, Hon. Damishi Sango, and Deputy Chairman Hon. Amos Gombi Goyol over alleged diversion of presidential campaign funds and N9.8 million meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) during the 2019 General Elections.

This was disclosed by the party’s Publicity Secretary John Akans during an interview with journalists at the party’s secretariat in Jos on Wednesday.

Speaking with Journalists, Akans revealed that a vote of no confidence has been passed on the state chairman and his deputy stressing it was the resolution of the party.

6 Feared Killed in Ogun State Cult Clash

No fewer than six people are feared dead in a bloody fight involving suspected members of cult groups on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in Ogun state.

It was gathered that the incident which occurred at Tosunkun Sagamu involved members of the Aiye Confraternity and a rival cult, the Eiye Confraternity.

It was learnt that both cult groups lost six person, three on each side.

Niger State Governor Sets Up Inauguration, Appraisal Committee

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has set up two 65-man committees to lead his inauguration for his second term.

The two committees are Project, Policy, Programmes and Appraisal Committee and the Inauguration Committee.

The inauguration committee which is chaired by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honorable Mikahil Bmitosahi is saddled with the task of handling all preparations for the May 29 inauguration.

President Buhari to Intervene in Senate presidential Race

President Muhammadu Buhari will intervene in the Senate Presidential race.

This was disclosed by a source (name withheld) during an interview with journalist on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

The source revealed that President Buhari may hold a frank meeting with two of the three aspirants for Senate President, Sen. Danjuma Goje and Sen. Ali Ndume on the adoption of Senate Leader Ahmad Lawan for the office.
