Considering the number of Nigerians dangote trucks kills on a daily basis, do you think dangote would still be this rich if his trucks killed that much in America?

He will follow protocol and manage his fleet of trucks well. He will get sued for his last dime and people will avoid his brand in protest. It is too expensive and risky to be like that in a society with real humans. Naija is a jungle where anything goes. The ills have turned Nigerians to robots who only aim at money no matter how its gotten.

The answer is NO. He would have faced a lot of class action lawsuits running into billions of dollars and that would have negatively impacted on his networth.

Dangote's vehicles are responsible for a not even up to 10% of fatal accidents on our roads,
This is not a Dangote problem, is a Nigerian problem.
Truth be told, so many drivers plying our roads will be banned from touching the steering of any vehicle in America.

Many Nigerian drivers are on drugs, drink and drive and drive carelessly majority of the time.
Nigeria is not a nation of consequences, as long as our people know that the can get away with killing people on our highways by paying a few thousands to the family of the deceased, get away with drinking and driving by bribing Road safety or Police, etc, this acts will keep on happening

In America the roads are not terrible like in Nigeria. There are probably more trucks in California alone than all of Nigeria put together.
Yes, high probability he will still be rich.

If his trucks are killing people despite the safety regulations and good road conditions no way. He'd be down millions.

Im going to add another question. Are these commercial drivers insured. Most Nigerians aren't but I dont see why commercial trucks shouldn't be. At least victims would get compensated.

Thousands of people are killed in the US by company truck every year.
Nobody protested or boycott the brand involved because they know that accident is a fact of life.
The victims family just seek compensation for the accident.

Dangote is no different than the old monies in the US.
Unless capitalism becomes a crime, Dangote is as clean as any rich man.

You would have cured yourself of ignorant if you compiled the list of
victims of Dangote trucks and divide them by "billions of dollars".
You probably think money grows on trees and have no idea how companies operate.

You are not even close, Dangote trucks are not responsible for up to 0.001% of accidents on Nigerian roads every year.
It appears so because Dangote has a name which can be used in newspaper headlines.

With a dollar almost 400 times it's naira equivalent, Dangote still struggles to be among the world's richest. Imagine how much richer he wouldbe on a level playing field.

The man Dangote is doing Nigerians more harm than good.
And by the way, having an Indian wife or ex wife doesn't mean you should make Nigeria an Indian colony.

(1) Uhhhhh! In America the system would have to establish without Reasonable doubt that it was the Driver's Fault.
(2) i Must admit that In Nigeria people behave like "cows". Use pedestrian bridge una go refuse. You'll see people dodging Cars and TRUCKS like Neo in the Matrix . A lot of these accidents are not the Driver's Fault! Let's call a spade a spade! Shalom

No. It'll be hard to try monopolistic system of business in America.
Re: Would Dangote Be This Rich In America? by wman(m): 2:33pm On Apr 28, 2019
No he won't.

Not taking the trucks into consideration, Dangote
thrives in a monopolistic environment where government policies favour him.

But he's still a hardworking and smart businessman.

Seriously, Nigerian drivers are hazards on our road. No sense of humanity in all of them. Just hit the highway in Nigeria and see drivers driving as if accidents don't exits.

To know how useless our drivers are, on the highway that is single lane... You will see a lot of them overtaking heavy trucks on serious bends. How on Earth will they see the upcoming vehicle.

God bless your soul, most of Nigerians are just hypocrites and lack the ability to think critically and correctly.
Dangote truck is not responsible for majority of accidents we have on road, however his truck may take a significant proportion. But that is only due to the fact that he has the largest fleet of trucks in this country.
Dangote is not the cause. The problem is Nigeria, bad roads, and most people dont really have a good driving education. Hell, dangote even tried to address this issue by employing graduate drivers. Yet y'all will be shouting and be criticizing him for doin it
