Dangote's vehicles are responsible for a not even up to 10% of fatal accidents on our roads,
This is not a Dangote problem, is a Nigerian problem.
Truth be told, so many drivers plying our roads will be banned from touching the steering of any vehicle in America.

Many Nigerian drivers are on drugs, drink and drive and drive carelessly majority of the time.
Nigeria is not a nation of consequences, as long as our people know that the can get away with killing people on our highways by paying a few thousands to the family of the deceased, get away with drinking and driving by bribing Road safety or Police, etc, this acts will keep on happening

Dangote wouldn't be 1/10th as rich as he is in America because commodity-trading oligarchs are more common in countries like Nigeria and Russia than well-regulated Western economies where it isn't as easy to get rich of cartel monopolies and tax waivers and forex waivers and import waivers. Has nothing to do with the accidents his trucks cause.

Sigh. Why can't the stupid ones just keep their mouths shut?

Only a simple check on google would have shown you that over the past 15 years there have been hundreds, perhaps even thousands of casualties from accidents involving Dangote trucks.

The quantum for measuring compensation when it comes to cases of death is usually calculated on the basis of what the deceased would have earned if he or she had lived to an old age.

That means for each dead person, the amount of money awarded by courts will run into millions of naira.

Compensation given out for loss of life is always at least 10 times what a court would award for loss of property or loss of income. So if we are talking loss of hundreds or even thousands of lives, then the amount of compensation will run into billions.

Next time use your brain. It was actually put inside your head for a reason.

You would have cured yourself of ignorant if you compiled the list of
victims of Dangote trucks and divide them by "billions of dollars".
You probably think money grows on trees and have no idea how companies operate.

Will majority of drivers in Nigeria go to America and drive the way they do?
It's obvious many people's licences would have been suspended and the menaces taken off the road.
In Nigeria, people don't do driving tests before they start driving.
Licences are collected after money has exchanged hands, which wouldn't happen in America.
American roads are better with fewer potholes compared to Nigerian roads and accidents will be less.
In America, Dangote would be employing people who we are all sure are fit to drive after passing their driving tests.
His cars would have fewer accidents. If anything at all, it is the car companies that would suffer it, provided there's no human error on the part of his drivers.
He is also just caught in the Nigerian system where any joker can bring a licence and say he is allowed to drive..

Most people up there are sane and won't cross the road where there is pedestrian bridge, they won't also sell by the road side to get hit by truck.

Thousands of people are killed in the US by company truck every year.
Nobody protested or boycott the brand involved because they know that accident is a fact of life.
The victims family just seek compensation for the accident.

How many thousands abeg you?and does it keep repeating with the same company? Please post a link with same company whose truck keeps killing those thousands every year. You can tell that story to those who have never crossed Niger bridge that there are companies whose trucks keep killing people on a regular basis in the USA. Law suit alone would have shut them down by now. USA that is lawsuit hungry. Lawyers sef dey advertise for people wey wound for work to contact them etc. Even person fall for wet ground for your company alone na wahala if he decides to take it further talk less of killing people year in year out.

He can't even be that rich in benin rebublic talkless of America. All thanks to obasonjo. Before 1990s dangote is just like a normal Nigeria billionaire. And now he is about to be richer than Nigeria if he eventually finish his refinary. He will dictate and control.

Any sensible Goverment will not allow a single company to monopolize existing buisness.

Benin republic had decided to go for china expensive cement instead of their closser neighbour Dangote cement.

Nigeria is not a level-playing field. If it was, Linda Ikeji would not be anywhere rich with her template, Davido would not be number 1 artiste without a good singing voice and crooky politicians would not have gone far with their bribery/corruption. The system here doesn't favor the best. But Dangote would have gone far though. But it won't be that easy as it was with Nigeria.

you forget to consider the sophistication of the roads in the u.s. if he were to be in the u.s he would not need to use the trailers for very long routes because there will be other means to transport the goods.

If his products are accepted at an equivalent rate, yes he can. But it is paradoxical, becos America as an advanced nation, dwell mainly on services rather mere products. The reason why u see d likes of Gates and Bezos on top of d wealth chain. So, realistically, Dangote will be much down down, but still fairly buoyant.

In America the roads are not terrible like in Nigeria. There are probably more trucks in California alone than all of Nigeria put together.
Yes, high probability he will still be rich.

That's a big lie. You can't tell me California may have more trucks than the entire Nigerian trucks. More part of America is covered by water than nigeria so they rely more on water transportation and air courier services in delivery.
Seems you've forgotten FMN, BUA, Ashaka, Dantata & sawoe, goldenpennny among others all have trucks. Go to Apapa Tin can island

Raw numbers are meaningless. You make comparisons with percentages, not absolute numbers.
Again, you failed tos show any evidence that Dangote truck contributes significantly to the number

There are 3 to 5 thousand accident deaths in Nigeria per year,
how many involve Dangote truck?

Until you can answer that question, all your points are mute.

Don't be fooled by Zuckerberg's popularity.
There are a lot of rich families in the US who dominates traditional industries.

All countries give waiver one way or another.
Tesla's Elon Musk is being subsidized by the American government so are many southern farmers who
receive billions in subsidy every year.

It is never easy to get rich in any country if it was, 99% of one year's billionaire won't make it to the
next one.
