INEC, A tool for the APC?

It's obvious that INEC has proven to show the whole world on how it cannot be trusted in terms of handling the electoral affairs to the best of its abilities; as to be fair and transparent and not choose to play favoritism

INEC should know that SIIB is only requesting for the audience of the Bayelsa state REC and EO, and not the INEC ad-hoc staff, on the cause of why have they refused to release the material requested for in order to prove the PDP to prove their case in the Bayelsa State National and House of Assembly elections while in court.

Let it be stated that no sin has been committed by the PDP in requesting for the report and materials of the election from INEC as its clearly seen in section 77(1) which states that 'the resident electoral commissioner is required to issue election documents or its certified copies within 14 days upon application by any party to an election petition'

In view of facts, The People Democratic Party (PDP) have requested for these materials on the 7th and 12th of March 2019 respectively and as of today 29th of March 2019, it still has not been provided. These piece of information or materials are needed to aid the ongoing tribunal case.

From mere deduction of points, the INEC is on the verge of subverting the rules of law and it will not help the present situation of the country, because they have ceased from playing their designated role entrusted in their hands by the citizens.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should give its attention to a piece of credible information and be also guided by its oath of office and the constitution

The All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain Barr. Dennis Otiotio is just playing its part as a loyal watchdog of his party. He is somewhat contrary embittered with the People Democratic Party (PDP) grip and foothold in the state despite all attempt to frustrate the February 23rd electoral process in favour of his party.

Barr. Dennis has no good intention for towering the state but rather leading its own people into a cataclysmic fall, he is not in concern of whatsoever comes out of the situation.

Concisely, he is having a fictitious display undercover which is to use in restraining the state commissioner from doing its work, however, the newly appointed commissioner is a disciplined person, unlike the gun runner (Barr. Otiotio Dennis) whose past shows no sign whatsoever of equity and truth.

We urge the INEC to retrace their steps in doing what is just and right. The mandate of the people is not for a selected few to decide but for the people themselves, therefore INEC should make the truth their priority.
