Abia Owes Health Workers 13 Months’ Salaries — NMA by Nazarethnaza: 3:59am On May 10, 2019
The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA has disclosed that the Abia State Government owes Doctos and health workers 13 months’ salaries. While the Abia Government owes health workers 13 months’ salaries, members of the state Hospital Management Board had not been paid for 10 months. NMA President, Dr Francis Faduyile who disclosed this at the end of the 59th Annual General Conference and delegates’ meeting of the association which was held in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, further added that the salary of Nigerian doctors was abysmally lower than what their counterparts were offered in other countries.

“The AGC/DM expressed great displeasure and frowned on the failure of the Abia State Government to pay the salaries of doctors and other health workers working at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital for up to 13 months and Abia State Hospital Management Board for 10 months. The AGC/DM also expressed great displeasure and frowned on the payment of 70 per cent salaries to doctors and other health workers working with the Imo State Government since September, 2015. The AGC/DM considered the action of both the Abia State Government and Imo State Government as unacceptable while also expressing great displeasure at the non-payment or skipping by some tertiary health institutions in the country" he said.

The fact that other governors owe salaries does not make Ikpeazu look good.

On the other hand, governors have to make some hard choices...increase taxes, or sack workers.

Flattinos are not concerned with this, they are not concerned that their parents are dying of hunger due to non-payment of their salaries for several months. Instead they are concerned with Osun workers. Senseless drug pushers.

After they will be shouting marginalization.
Majority of the progress in any state lies in the hands of the respective state governments.
Look at delta too for example.... All the bad leaders they have had. By now delta state should be a mini London.
Same for akawibom.
Nonsense and all English Europa and ucl finals!

We igbos have no problem with it.
Even if he owe 4 years salary , we are very comfortable with it simply because PDP is a God sent party .
So far our governor is able to give us 4litre of kerosene once in 4 years . We are happy cheesy
The problem we have is with States being ruled by APC , the satanic party . E.g Lagos , Osun . Etc .
Atikulooter is coming .
He will recover his stolen mandate in the Supreme Court of Cameroon. We have the cjn onnonghen on our payroll and there’s no cause for alarm .
Senator Adeleke Ajobiewe , malting dance hall defending champion will also recover his stolen mandate and we will give him a chance to rule over one of our states in Biafra .
grin grin grin
