Atiku Abuabkar: The Presidential Candidate Abandoned By His People by Israelmossaic: 10:53am On May 14, 2019 |
It is not farfetched from the observations of political spectators the way and manner bigwigs and gladiators in the political arena of this country, especially the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are docile if not dormant despite the fact that, their flag-bearer is in legal struggle for his lost presidential bid. As expected, Governors, National Assembly members and party officials of the PDP are to be seen relentlessly, building-up forces with Atiku in his quest to muscle power from the incumbent President. However, except Kola Ologbondiyan, the Party's spokesman, all other mouthpieces have deserted the struggle. Can anyone recall when last the likes of Uche Secondus, Ayodele Peter Fayose, Buba Galadima and Dino Melaye, to mention but a few spoke or released statements in support of Atiku's pursuit at the Election Petition Tribunal? To say the least, none of them in recent times have come out on either print or electronic media to show support for Atiku. Also, insinuations continue to trend among average Nigerians that, bigwigs in the PDP are certain that the evidences presented by their party at the Tribunal are insignificant and cannot stand the weight of justice. Hence, the withdrawal by most of the PDP gladiators who had hitherto expressed open support for Atiku’s presidential quest. Currently, the question agitating the minds of many Nigerians is whether Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been abandoned by the PDP ? or he is a one man squad prosecuting his battle alone? 2 Likes 1 Share

Well, i partly agree with op. We expected more from PDP governors, Saraki, Obasanjo, Buba, South West, South East and South South leaders. Today we hear nothing from those that pushed Atiku to the war front including the retire generals led by Gusau. Well Atiku still has Kassim Afegbua, Ologbondiyan, Mr. Paul Ibe, Fani-Kayode. 1 Like |

Op, you're jobless. Atiku's case is in court and PDP and Atiku have given instructions for their members not to bring it to the media space but allow the tribunal to do it work. I think the question of abandoning Atiku by the PDP and supporters is only in your imagination 5 Likes 1 Share |

all those that were scavenging around Atiku were only there to collect their own share of the loot he acquired for himself, look at him all alone fighting his battle. anyway, i respect FFK on this, he dissociated himself from the very day Atiku emerged the flag bearer of the PDP. anyway, we know their antics. Atiku eye don clear now 1 Like |

1. Everyone knows Atiku lost the election. 2. We do also know that Atiku does not have a strong case against President Buhari. It his entire defence relying on a Server here in Dubai, it is a complete failure. 3. Finally, Atiku is only pursuing the case so he can handover NNPC and other national assets to the businessmen that donated part-payment to him. |

Atiku's loss began at his polling unit where Buhari beat him, he is only attempting this suit to hoodwink Nigerians and ultimately waste the time of the country's judiciary. If the presidential elections were to hold ten times Buhari will still win, Atiku should stop this pipe-dream and focus on his business for now. |

It's nothing surprising that the man who claimed he was going to get Nigeria Working again has now become the forgotten man at the background. Atiku has been relegated to the background to only watch proceedings of the tribunal he is likely to lose. His loyalists are now trying to change their statements and positions to reflect their interest All Progressives Congress. Shame! This four years will be interesting. Atiku sorry sha! @Myn44 |
