Former Minister of Finance, Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Tel Aviv University, Israel, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Okonjo-Iweala, who doubled as Coordinating Minister of the Economy under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was honoured for her work on economic development, poverty alleviation, transparency and inclusion.

Okonjo-Iweala, who posted the photos in a tweet obtained by Igbere TV on Friday, wrote;

“Wonderful to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Tel Aviv University for my work on Economic Development, Poverty Alleviation, Transparency and Inclusion.”
