A 24-year-old educator, Oluwaseun Adegoke, who purportedly sent West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) answer booklet on the web to an understudy, showed up in Ikeja Magistrates' Court in Lagos on Monday.

The police charged Adegoke, who live in Orile-Agege, Lagos, with unlawfully helping a hopeful throughout an examination.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp Innocent Odugbo, told the court that the respondent submitted the offense on May 17 at a tuition-based school in Agege, Lagos, NAN reports.

He said that the litigant filtered a WAEC answer booklet of an understudy while the examination was still on and sent it on Whatsapp to help a few understudies.

Odugbo said that WAEC found data that the solution booklet of an understudy was on the web.

"On getting the chance to follow the school, it was found that the respondent posted it.

"The case was accounted for, and the respondent was captured," the investigator said.

The offense, he stated, contradicted the arrangements of Section 324(3)of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Section recommends 10-year correctional facility term for unlawfully helping an applicant throughout an examination.

Following his request of not blameworthy, Magistrate Mrs. Emeka Opara conceded the litigant to safeguard in the whole of N50,000 with two sureties in like entirety.

Opara requested that the sureties must be beneficially utilized and show proof of two years charge installment to the Lagos State Government(LASG).
She dismissed the case until June 26.
