Why Sallah Celebrations Will Be Suspended In President Buhari’s Hometown by dakingsblog: 11:44am On May 28, 2019
All Muslims all over the world will celebrate Eid – Fitr Next week but Daura which is in Katsina State will not be among due to unrest insecurity.



According to Vanguard, The Daura Emirate Council has suspended all activities lined up to mark the Sallah celebration in the emirate due to insecurity.

This report comes from the meeting that Northern Governors had with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where they complained about how Boko Haram insurgency has been tormenting their states.

Furthermore, The Presidency has revealed that it could not assure if President Buhari administration can put a total end to the insurgency.

Throughout last week, about 34 people have been killed in northern states by this deadly gunmen.

Malam Abdulmumini Salihu (Danejin Daura) made the announcement on behalf of the emirate council in a statement issued in Daura (Katsina State), yesterday. Salihu said that the suspension of the Sallah activities was due to the recent security breaches tormenting some parts of the state.
