You guys in the east and your brutalizing of petty thieves. The thief is already a wretched looking person who has clearly been wired by hunger. Yes, theft is wrong, but the energy these crowds exert does not match the crime. Did the man rob someone? He stole what may even have been a discarded roofing sheet. |

  We, in this country are gradually losing our humanity & milk of human kindness. We mustn't always resort to jungle justice everytime. Only extreme hunger & hopelessness usually leads to such petty stealing of some second hand roofing sheets that may not fetch more than N1500. Violent crimes are different. |

Almost every one of these stories where citizens are beating up a thief, it is always theft of some trivial item If the guy was a person caught robbing or kidnapping or even stealing something of actual worth I would understand this aggression. This is just bullying someone who is already down on his luck. |
