Africa is not ready for the social media.

Heck, Africa isn't ready for modernization save for a few countries.

undecidedGeorge Weah is a complete failure. As usual, he lacks what it takes to govern the country. Being a superstar isn’t guarantee you would make a good leader

BS. George Weah inherited a totally failed state from Johnson-Sirleaf. They should free the man. How can you expect him to work wonders in 1 year, what Charles Taylor and Johnson-Sirleaf messed up over a 21 year period?

I thought Buhari was the worst President in Africa. I think I have seen one that he is better than. At least I know that social media cannot be blocked in Nigeria.

All those screaming tyranny up and down don't realise the damage social media does to a society not ready for it.

It is like giving a child a gun or access to pornorgraphy.

Are people suggesting Weah needs more money?

Or that he's simply a tyrant?

Africans are yet to understand the use of social media and just about most things we touch - democracy for instance.

For me, social media has done more harm than good for the people of Africa.

this is a silly comment

China rise has been in the offing for more than 30 yrs
Obama had nothing to do with that
Africa has been plagued by Fvckery and things are even relatively better in Africa over the 21st century than the two decades preceding it (At least there is more FDI, less wars and growing economies and a sensible middle class)

As for the middle east undecided

more harm than good in what way?

Is there peace in your nation?

Do you not think your youth are overtly influenced by images on social media?

Haven't you noticed a wave of disgruntled persons pervading the African space?

Don't you think terrorists are happy to spread images of horror to you and your tender ones as means to subdue your ideals?

Haven't politicians polarised the people to the point of hate using social media as the tool of engineering ?
