Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has upgraded the status of the State Accountant-General to a Permanent Secretary.

According to the letter signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Toyin Akinkuotu, it stated that “you are to see this change in nomenclature as an appreciation of your dedication to duty and hardwork, which must be sustained”.

The Governor who had earlier in several forum lauded the Permanent Secretary/Accountant-General, Mr. Laolu Akindolire, for judiciously managing the financial resources in the state observed that he has been very transparent, resilient and hardworking.

Mr. Laolu is a graduate of Higher Institute of Finance and Economics, holds a Master of Economics (Specialization in Finance) in Svishtov, Bulgaria, Europe.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (CPA), Full Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), Certified Financial Consultants-Institute of Financial Consultants (U.S.A./Canada), Fellow, Institute of Financial Consultants (FIFC) (U.S.A./Canada), Member, International Consortium on Governmentally Financial Management, Washington DC, U.S.A., Fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Fellow, Certified National Accountant (FCNA) and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI).

He joined the Ondo State Civil Service as an Accountant in 1989 and was appointed the State Accountant-General in 2017 and is now appointed as Permanent Secretary.
