Youth leader’s illicit affair with young men
By AKINWALE ABORISADE
Sunday, 3 Oct 2010

Barely a fortnight after the arrest of 32-year-old Femi Samuel - suspected homosexual who was accused of luring young boys into illicit affair – another man described as a youth leader at Akingbade area of Ibadan is being grilled by the police on the allegation that he took advantage of young boys in his neighbourhood for selfish reasons. AKINWALE ABORISADE writes

As a devout Muslim and revered youth leader, Musbau Badmus, apart from being popular in his community, is well loved by many people. The 38-year-old man, who was regarded as a mentor to the youths at Akingbade area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital, was a reference point for parents who desired their children to do well and remain focused in life. But not anymore, as the evil that Badmus allegedly perpetrated over many years came to the limelight recently, leaving everyone wondering.

The enterprising scrap metal seller was said to have specialised in luring young boys (between age 14 and 25) into illicit sexual act which they said had been on for more than 10 years. And now that his secret escapade has blown open, the authority of Egbeda Police Station has said that he has a case to answer.

His secret deeds were recently exposed by two of his victims, Sodiq and Wasiu (surnames withheld), who said they were tired of the manipulation. After reporting the youth leader to their father, the angry boys lodged a formal complaint at the police station about Badmus‘ alleged illicit secret affairs with unsuspecting young boys.

Badmus‘ living room in which he holds court as a youth leader in the area is also the venue of the sexual binge. Although he is married with two children and lives under the same roof with them, investigation shows that the man was able to perpetrate his atrocities by restricting his wife and children from entering the family living room.

According to police report, some residents of Akingbade community besieged the police station and lodged a complaint that the youth leader was having immoral affair with their teenage sons. The police therefore invited the suspect for interrogation. During their search, they recovered some used white handkerchief and compact disks of pornographic films. Interestingly, Badmus confirmed the allegation to our correspondent but said that he had never had super-perversion with any of the boys.

Badmus who said that he had been engaged in the act for more than 15 years, explained that he had no other ulterior reason for doing it apart from satisfying his sexual desire. He explained that he always invited the boys to his house and lured them into immorality by playing pornographic movies, which serves as a bait for them. He said, ”I started inviting the boys into my house because I always had the urge to have intimacy. When I am moved, I will not be able to control myself anymore. I will be feeling like romancing people of the same sex. I will then look for a young boy to ‘play‘ with.

”I usually bring the boys into one of the rooms - I have two rooms; my wife and children stay in the bedroom while I live in the sitting room. The boys get carried away and I move to them and handle with their manlinesses until they release the spermatozoa.”

A student of Lagos State Polytechnic called Idowu (surname withheld) is one of the boys who succumbed to Badmus‘ lustful bid. According to him, he was back in Ibadan where his parents are living from school for the Ramadan celebration on September 9, 2010. He said, ”The youth leader invited me to his house. On getting there, I saw some boys outside, but he ushered me in immediately I arrived. Before anything, he asked me if I have ever had sex with any girl in my life, to which I said no. He then slotted in a blue film and said we should watch it together.”

Within a short period, Idowu was caught in the web of obscenity: He lost control and Badmus took advantage of him. Idowu said, ”I was no longer myself; I unzipped my trousers. He moved close to me and started caressing my organ until I ejaculated. Afterwards, he cleaned me up with a white handkerchief.”

Although Badmus confirmed that he had lured the young man into immoral act in the past by handling him, he said, ”I did not do anything to him in recent times. I had not invited him to my house this year. It was not true that I did anything with him during the Ramadan period because I was fasting then. I used the period to ask God for forgiveness of my sins. I told God in prayers that I had disappointed him by deceiving so many young boys into immorality. I am even ashamed. So, I asked for forgiveness. Ever since then, I have not done it.”

If his sins were forgiven by mere claim that he had repented, the mark of his immorality may take a longer time to fade away from the memory of men. The Divisional Police Officer, Egbeda Police Station, Mr. John Wada Aku, said about 30 teenagers had been wrongfully influenced by Badmus. Of this number, about 14 of them came forward to give account of how he invited them to his house and taught them how to self-service.

He said, ”Badmus was supposed to be a youth leader, but we find that he was using his position wrongfully to deceive unsuspecting young boys into immorality.” Once they were introduced to the act, the boys said they became addicted to it.

A 15-year-old Senior Secondary School II student simply called Bolaji said he was always excited anytime he recalled his first experience with Badmus. He told SUNDAY PUNCH, ”I was invited to his house with some of my friends about six months ago. We watched blue film on his TV and at a point, he switched off the generator. We all decided to leave but he called me back to his living room. He asked me if I had slept with any girl before, and I told him I never did. The youth leader played another blue film for me on his mobile telephone set. At a point, I got carried away and he took my ‘organ‘ and masturbated me. I enjoyed it but I felt sad after that experience. I kept doing it myself thereafter.”

Another SSS II student who introduced himself as Ahmed, 16, said that the youth leader lured him into the immoral act. He lamented, ”I met Mr. Badmus through one of my neighbours. When we got to his house, we met him watching a film. But he later removed the tape and slotted in a blue film. He asked me if I had slept with any girl, but I said no. He moved close to me and began to handle my manliness and that was all. I ejaculated for the first time in my life. It was fun for me, so I kept going to his house to catch more fun. He used to clean me up with a white handkerchief.”

Badmus said that he had been involved in the act for long, but denied using his victims‘ spermatozoa for ritual purposes. According to him, he was introduced into homosexuality by a student called Rahman. ”I was at Urban Day Secondary School, Eleyele, while Rahman who is two years older was a student of Anwar Islam Secondary School, Eleyele. Rahman and I were always together after school to self-service. But all my life, I never had sex with any male. We only masturbated.

”The sexual urge in me is like a fit or a spiritual problem. I told my mother about it and she once took me to a spiritualist, but I got no succour. At times, I isolate myself from people so as to overcome it, but sometimes, it becomes uncontrollable.”

Asked what he does with the spermatozoa he extracted from the boys, he said, ”I don‘t do anything with it. I just clean it up with rag or tissue paper. I don‘t like doing it myself but the urge was always too strong for me to overcome whenever it came.”

^^^^ I beg to differ(as per Mental instution), physical castration and life imprisonment(in kirikiri) would be better. That would at the very least deter other fellow minded individuals. They'll think twice before committing such a heinous crime.

LOL Pedophillia is some kinda mental disorder [IN MY BOOK]. It's not going to go away by imprisonment or castration [I get your joke tho lol]. That's why you have pedos committing same crime again after getting out of jail.

Who said anything about letting em' out of jail? I repeat 'Life Imprisonment' meaning they should be left to rot away. Bloody Pervs!!!

I don't see how paedophilia can be viewed as a disorder. Imho, you have two options, either "You chose to engage in sexual activities with Kids" or "You don't". It is that simple.

Trust, as much as I hate the act, it's not black and white as you think. There are grey areas smiley
LOL @life imprisonment. I support that.

So many of these cases on LAW & ORDER, it's disgusting to see defendants trying to excuse such crime. undecided
