. Imagine if Rohr were to be a Nigerian Coach? Most people would have been shouting hire a Fireign Coach by now or accused the Coach of collecting bribe from Mikel.

I'm not saying Mikel is a bad player but the coach is playing him out of position alongside iwobi. The coach is just a stubborn goat that doesn't want to admit this error. The guy na Sarri's younger brother that keeps playing kante on the wings and Hazard as a top striker.

Only if v Moses was on that team he would play no 10 nicely like he did against Cameroon in wc qualifying.

Nigeria is not known for high tempo (Ganra Ganra )football , Ghana and Cameroon, and the rest of Africa do that.
Ghana calls themselves Brazil of Africa , Cameroon says they are Germany of Africa , but Nigeria is arguably the only contry in Africa that has it very own brand of football, where we mesmerize and bamboozle the opposition unassumingly.

So seeing super Eagles play at a high tempo , in a high altitude temperature simply means the coach was not able to exact and prevail on the opponent to play on our own terms and that also explains why we struggled

Big man style football, with skill and confidence

unassuming and kind of laid back but very effective

One of the most entertaining and mesmerising football styles ever

Before judging Onuachu I will like to see Musa, Iwobi, Chukwueze behind him providing the kind of service Ighalo had in second half

Also Rohr is still yet to learn Mikel and that’s unfortunate

Does Mikel still have a role to play in super eagles? Yes

Is Mikel our best Number 10? No

Let Mikel start from the bench, let Etebo and Ndidi start from the deep midfield positions with Iwobi as number 10. On a day when Iwobi is not playing well or needs to be subbed you take out Iwobi, push Etebo into the number 10 position and put Mikel next to Ndidi

That’s my 2 scents

All in all Nigeria played a very good second half

Chukwueze needs coaching on the final ball while Onuachu needs time

Onuachu is the future. He needs playing time to perfect that position. Ighalo will not be around forever. If am the coach I will start Onuachu again

No no no Mikel should not be playing period. He offered nothing at the Wc and he offers nothing right now. He has never been consistent as a super eagles player. Yes there have been falshed of brilliance however that don't mean squat today.

He keeping fresher.younger hungrier players from coming thru

Mikel should be flown home

...why is Mikel Obi still in the national team?

Because I suspect that he's pulling strings behind the scene and perhaps is bribing the officials. If he were British he would have announced his resignation long ago

Yet this old man is still playing. Joke

Yo why won't Rohr play Henry. What's the deal there? Is he purposely keeping him out of the team.?
All players can't play at the same time baba . He will play as tournament progresses

Thought I was the only one that recognised this. Nigeria has or had a style, it was a sort of deceptively slow one, which combined much clever skills. At any moment, if the opposition become complacent because of the way Nigeria would move the ball slowly, sometimes our players even walking, Nigeria would strike. We'd suddenly speed up, sometimes threading the ball amazingly accurately from midfield, splitting the oppositions defences. We used our brains. I miss those days. I think it was Nigerian fans admiration for Ghanian style of play (full of running around furiously) that resulted in Nigeria loosing its way. Fans kept calling our players lazy and slow and so its no wonder coaches made Nigerian players begin to run around like headless chicken. Even so, one still read Nigerian fans criticising the players for not running fast enough. If we don't stop, our players will soon be lurching around like headless goats much less chickens. Problem with Nigerians is they never recognise the good things they have.

You're spot on here. Also add to it that we thrived on flying through wings. Unfortunately, this new generation of football followers won't understand a bit of what you're talking about sad

the technical DIRECTOR whoever he is, is gradually turning our game to purely defensive football without counterattack.

Our attackers and midfielders hardly score these days.

Refer to our falcons who needed two knockout stages penalty shoot outs even on final day to lift the last African championship.

If super eagles jam Algeria ehn
