The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have commenced calling witnesses at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).

The party called a critic of President Muhammadu Buhari and one of the spokesmen of the PDP presidential campaign team, Buba Galadima as its first witness.

He was called to the witness stand at the Monday’s proceedings of the President, after the petitioners, through their lawyer, Dr Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), tendered some result sheets in respect of four Local Government Areas of Kano State.

Shortly after Galadima took a stand in the witness box, he opted to affirm to speak the truth.

Led by the petitioners’ lawyer, Galadima adopted his witness statement on oath deposed to on March 18, 2019.

This is the first time the APC Chair will be attending proceedings at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which commenced siting about two months ago.
Before now, the Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus and the party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Peter Obi had attended proceedings at different times.
