Frank weighs 120pounds, John 240 a and Hubert 360. Thats not really a riddle.

Then Frank's weight = x/2

And Hubert's weight = (3x)/2

thus the sum total of their weights: x + (x/2) + (3x/2) = 720

multiply both sides of the equation by 2 to get: x + 2x + 3x = 1440

giving you: 6x = 1440

divide both sides by 6

therefore x = 240

Now substituting the values of x, you'll get

Frank's weight = 120 Pounds

John's weight = 240 Pounds and

Hubert's weight = 360 Pounds.

{To check your answer: 120 + 240 + 360 = 720}
