[b]b][center][b]Testimony on the Celestial Church of Christ[/center][/

Please permit me to crave your indulgence to speak about the Celestial Church of Christ.
The crisis in the Celestial Church of Christ started with misunderstandings between Supreme Evangelist A.A. Bada and Superior Evangelist Benoit D. Agbaossi after the recall to God of PAPA S.B.J. Oshoffa, on the nomination or appointment of the Pastor for the Celestial Church of Christ.
After Papa’ s transition, the Church became divided into 3 groups: - one group supporting Baba Bada – another one supporting Baba Agbaossi - a third group decided to be neutral, working to perpetuate the work of Papa Oshoffa and continue the evangelisation. Some members of this last group decided to function under the name Oshoffists.
The Oshoffa family made every attempt to reconcile the group Bada and the group Agbaossi hoping to link the Church, but each group remained firm on its position.
After the transition of Baba Bada, the family and some elders of the Church decided to travel to London to meet Baba Ajose, to appeal to him to use his position as the next high ranking minister under Baba Bada to reconcile the Church. Unfortunately Baba Ajose answered us that everyone has an ambition. We did not realise that Baba Bada, not wanting reconciliation after him, had named Superior Evangelist P.H.Ajose, leader of the Celestial Church of Christ worldwide and Baba Jesse Head of Nigeria Diocese of CCC. The faxed nominations were sent to Lagos via Honourable Senior Evangelist Jolapamo. I would like to mention that, before these nominations, Ajose and Jesse were good friends. We do not know or understand how, just after these nominations, they became enemies. Nigeria became divided into 2 groups:
- Group AJOSE (Board of trustees, Nigeria Diocese)
- Group JESSE (C.C.C.Nigeria Diocese)
This division ran down every Country, every City and every Village. Anywhere the Celestial Church of Christ exists, there are 3 Leaders coming from 3 groups, representing Agbaossi, Ajosse & Jesse. 17 years, after Papa’s transition, the Church has not made any progress. We only attacked each other, from one court to another, wasting the funds of the Celestial Church of Christ which could have been used for better ends, trailing the name of our father in the mud. Nevertheless, the family continued to make efforts to unite the various groups. Each time it seems that progress was made, a new event brings us back.
Thus, when the opportunity arose so that the Ivory Coast would be united behind Superior Ediemou, we seized that opportunity. Previously, in Ivory Coast, there existed 3 Dioceses:
- EDIEMOU: Oshoffist
- ZAGADOU: Bada
- Another: representing the group of AGBAOSSI
We started to work in Ivory Coast where the majority of the 2 other groups that of AGBAOSSI and that of BADA agree to merge and work together, in order to have a Celestial Church of Christ in the Country.
It is noteworthy to mention that Superior Ediemou, who was named the Head of the Diocese of C.I by Papa S.B.J. OSHOFFA in 1983, had some misunderstandings with Baba Bada & Baba Agbaossi, was demoted from the rank of Superior Evangelist to the rank of brother in 1987.
The family cannot and does not intend to be with one group against the other. We do not give support to any faction against the other. We would like nevertheless to state that the family will support whoever is ready and eager to work for one and indivisible Celestial church of Christ. We want love to be our priority. We cannot remain seated and watch a small number of people destroying the only heritage that Papa Oshoffa left for us (the Celestial Church of Christ) We the children of Papa Oshoffa and members of the Celestial Church of Christ must work together for a United Church where love reigns supreme. Let us do our best. Only God can make it possible.
According to the records available, Papa Oshoffa named 9 other Superiors Evangelists after the first 3 nominations which it communicated to Superior P.H. AJOSE, in a letter dated April 23, 1984 , addressed in these terms: “My Dearest Superior Evangelist. P.H. AJOSE”, copied to Supreme Evangelist A.A. BADA, Superior Evangelist S.O. AJANLEKOKO Superior Evangelist Benoit D. AGBAOSSI. The 9 Superiors are, in the following hierarchical order:
- Superior Evangelist Christophe OKE
- Superior Evangelist Goodwill ABIASSI
- Superior Evangelist Moise AJOVI
- Superior Evangelist Isaiah SALAKO
- Superior Evangelist SOBOWALE
- Superior Evangelist Abraham OKITIPUPO
- Superior Evangelist Gilbert JESSE
- Superior Evangelist ARE
- Superior Evangelist EDIEMOU
The 9 superiors were all Seniors Evangelist before their nomination.
This period of turbulence cannot be prevented. Papa OSHOFFA is the Prophet of the Most Powerful God, JEHOVAH.
The solution for the nomination, the declaration or the proclamation of Pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ : in his will for the Church, Papa Oshoffa said that he has anointed elders .We need a Leader who will love JEHOVAH and love the Celestial Church of Christ sincerely, one that will work selflessly for the unity, the union and the progress of the Church while waiting in prayer for that Pastor that will be chosen by God, according to Papa’s will, “the Pastor that we all shall recognize through his works and his exploits, that we all shall accept and to whom all the elders shall bow”.

It is amazing how people claim to be receiving conflicting messages from the same God. Oh. . . i guess there are different versions of God. you listen to the one that suits you. It's all business.
