Will they be renumerated after this incident?

Did you make them aware of the accepted standards for building a house?

If No,then this is pure wickedness

It is good to be preemptive. But how did the Government come to the conclusion that some of these buildings are not up to standard? What's the yardstick? Or it is an avenue to witch hunt? What is the compensation cum settlement for those whose properties are businesses are thus displaced?

Eye service leaders. Why did they wait for building to collapse? And I know this building is owned by an opposition.

Biko, they should leave people's property.

Buildings plans have to be approved and monitored during construction with regular approvals given at intervals.

prevention is better than cure. Do you mean people just engage into building without knowledge of the building requirements and specifications? It merely appears to be wickedness but it indirectly save the inhabitants. Because if these building failed, government has no casualties (in term of lives)

An indirect development to 'Nigerian' houses. Building supervised by engineers are not 70% guaranteed. Question to ask: how many houses are being supervised by engineers?

Good move, a little too late to save 60 lives though. That collapsed building was a wake up call.

The question now is, when we're these buildings marked as defective before commencing this demolition exercise. Isn't there supposed to be a timeline for notification prior to demolition so the inhabitants or owners can make adequate preparation to relocate and rescue some valuable part of the building for reuse or sale. I don't just understand what is going on here.
