Why should the doctors be at work when they have their own private clinics?

For the patient to even go to a government hospital first instead of going to a private clinic shows that his case is not pathetic enough.

You sure say this pikin get sense embarassed

Borno Governor Visits Hospitals, Finds Patients In Pathetic Condition "No Doctor On Duty"

The Borno State Governor, Prof Umara Zulum paid an unscheduled visit to Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital and the State Specialist hospital, last night.

At Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital, he met patients in pathetic condition and could not find a single doctor on duty. As a result of their absence, Prof Zulum had to place a call to all the 10 medical Doctors on duty, but none of them answered the call not knowing it was the Governor that was calling.

Only 10 nurses were found on duty out of about 138 nurses on the payroll. The Governor went round all the wards to see the situations of the patients and later requested for the hospital's staff pay book and made role call.

Ghost Doctors

The Governor as a matter of fact should sack them all and recruit new ones with a stern warning of loosing their jobs if they fail to perform their duties as at when due.

Only in Nigeria people see government works as source of free money without sweat.

Though I will never support current government cos they are failures.

sacking is what he'll never even think of let alone do

The drs are all working in Abuja.
Borno is just to be on govt pay roll.
U can't get any serious minded Dr in Borno state again.
Some have left the shores of Nigeria.

That's how they will be losing them until they stop playing politics with people's lives.

I noticed that most northern politicians are products of unimaid or lectures there.

That school should have been the best in the north but nepotism did not allow them to expand. The southern lecturers were treated as second class citizens even though they were the best lecturers ever to grace the school.

How much does he earn monthly as a governor?

How much do they pay the doctors?
How many months salary is he owing the doctors?

Is the hospital well equipped for the doctors to be able to do their job or do they use their meager salary to buy fuel in generators to attend to emergencies?

Does he patronise Nigerian hospitals or always travel to London even for slightest headache?

Nigerian doctors perform excellently outside the country, so don't come here and drag doctors into your dirty politics. Doctors are humans too and they have families to feed and bills to pay.

If the government do their part, doctors will do their job. After all, medical students are some of the most hard working when we were in school.
Plz just shut up and face ur depressed life....
I hate it when fools are typing... Sorry to call you fool but you are one..
If doctors are not satisfied with the salary why not terminate their jobs and leave other doctors to do it better....
Don't provoke me next time. I don't want to remember what doctors done to my late mum...

Seems like this governor does not know he is talking about Borno ( war torn area) . Those doctors deserve medals for even agreeing to work there. If he sacks them, who will replace them? Doctors in such hospitals work in the day and ambulance is supposed to come and pick them at night if the need arises. The governor is not even ashamed to say there are only 10 doctors in a whole state specialist hospital. 10 doctors cannot cover a hospital like that adequately.

B4 you start spewing rubbish about doctors not being available, ask yourself, can I work in Borno for all d money in d world ?

You seem to be making sense until you have a rethink and realize that these doctors are getting paid for not coming to work.

If Borno is not safe for you to work in, Borno job and salary should be unavailable to you. Simple and short.
