The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, has called on Fulani leaders to caution their kinsmen against violence.

Onaiyekan noted that the Fulani should be worried about the rate at which they were being mentioned for something evil.

The fulanis are the architect of their woes, the insults and the allegations meted out to them. They have set a lot of bad antecedents, the fulani herdsmen are killers, thieves, rapists and land grabbers.

Its not about seeing them as evil but about the negativities associated with them. There's A saying that where a child cries and points his or her hands, if the father is not there, then the mother is. Are people like Bnaira, Aremo Gucci, Otunba Cash, Hushpuppi, Mompha, Emperor Trillions, Aboki Wire, Rahman Jago e.t.c from the east? ...and the Fulani elite, leaders and rest of the non-violent ones have never for once attempted to caution or condemn the acts of the marauders; instead they're always on the defensive, insensitively attacking those calling on them to call their kinsmen to order.
