Akpabio entered the EFCC's books for allegedly looting the sum of N108.1 billion($288 million US dollars) from the coffers of Akwa Ibom during his stint as governor. Akpabio has also been accused of acquiring choice property across the country, namely: Plot 5 Okogosi Spring Close, off Katsina-Ala Crescent, Maitama-Abuja; a multi-billion naira mansionette at Plot 28 Colorado Close, Maitama, Abuja and another multi-billion naira mansion at 22 Probyn Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. In September of 2017, the EFCC revealed that it was investigating Akpabio over a N1.4billion gift to a bank. Buhari is taking corruption to greater heights. PMB is not interested in addressing stealing of public funds. As long as you are in his camp, you are home free to loot but the thing is he may use you as a sacrificial lamb when the pressure is on him to show that he is fighting corruption. 1 Like 1 Share |
