The man won a contest and his design was used as the national flag. How that translates to him being a 'hero' is beyond me. Every year, his handlers pop up with a sob story about how Nigeria has neglected him.

That flag is too basic, this is one of the things that need rebranding if Nigeria is going great tomorrow. It could have been more meaningful if agriculture is the mainstay of our economy, green-white-green signifies nature.
