Can the governor disprove the article with clear and convincing evidence? They say a clear conscience fears no accusations. He had to resort to intimidation to deter anybody else snooping around. This is exactly what is wrong with Nigeria. If the country is really practising democracy and believe in true freedom of the press, there should be no reason to arrest a journalist on an account of his expose'. This is what investigative journalists do...to shine light on corruption in both high and low places in the society. |
