Abducted Enugu Permanent Secretary rescued!

The Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Lands and Urban Development in Enugu State, Mr. Augustine Udeh, who was abducted on Sunday evening between Isu-Awaa and the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku-Ozalla, along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, has been rescued.

Speaking on phone, Mr. Udeh who has reunited with his family, said he is hale and hearty and thanked God for his rescue.

The Permanent Secretary, who disclosed that no ransom was paid, also thanked Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his swift interventions, especially the effective security measures his administration has put in place, which he said saw to his release.

Mr. Udeh equally appreciated the efforts of the security agencies and went further to thank the civil servants of the state for their prayers and support.

Those in political power have the contacts of these criminals. When abduction affects any of their own, it is just a phone call to these criminals and they "behave themselves". These criminals are the very same rogues the politicians depend on during elections to rig their way to power. There is a common understanding between the powers that be and powers of the underworld.

Thank God for his life. This man that was a teacher for years and later jammed luck, why don't they want him to enjoy the fruits of his labour in peace.

Fulani Herdsmen.

The Enugu state governor should stop the campaign of lies to cover up for the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in the state, millions was probably paid to herdsmen to secure the release of this man, we also know that the story of a girl that travelled to meet her boyfriend at Owerri is a false story planted by the governor's staffs to make it look like some of the reported cases of kidnapping by Fulani herdsmen are not true. People are dying and the governor is playing politics with it.it's very shameful and saddening.
