The Spoke person to Pres. Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu has reacted to the statement by the 2019 Presidential candidate and former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu over the absence of Nigeria in the G7 meeting in Europe.

Moghalu in his statement stated that the none invitation of Nigeria to the G7 meeting was because the country was snubbed.

He said in a tweet, “ It’s sad that @NGRPresident of Africa’s supposedly largest economy wasn’t invited to the G7 summit in France but @PaulKagame of Rwanda and @CyrilRamaphosa of South Africa were. Our country should be at the table, not on the menu! Obasanjo, like him or not, was at the table.”

At the moment Kingsley Moghalu’s Twitter handle has been suspended.

However, Garba Shehu while reacting on Thursday said Moghalu was either ignorant or playing politics to have made such statement.

He said, “@ KingsleyMoghalu is either ignorant or playing petty politics. The non-invitation of President Buhari to witness the G7 meeting this year is not a snub.”

Garba Shehu while explaining the none invitation of Nigeria stressed that a country with an economy the size of Niger State, not even Kano or Lagos was invited because it was the decision of the body.

He added that ” Buhari didn’t go to Europe. Europe came to him in Japan, where the EU had him sign an MOU for 50 Million Euro in support to the country’s devastated North East.”

And to think Moghalu used Obasanjo as an example shows he is just ignorant or trying to play politics.

As a matter of fact, Obasanjo was only invited in the first 2 or 3 times when Africans were invited to the G8 summit as 'guests' for the first time and Nigeria was relegated until 2008 and 2009 when Yaradua was President.

Just as they lied that Buhari is the first African leader to be invited by President Trump & that his invitation to the UNGA is as a result of his "crooked integrity".This govt always glorifying itself in its unqauntifiable stupidity instead of keeping quiet.

You expect a man that have nothing upstairs to discuss macro & macro-economy? No reasonable person will want to anything doing with a "lifeless man".Trump have forewarned them a long time ago.
