Prominent members of the opposition political parties under the aegis of Nigerians United for Democracy, on Tuesday, said no inauguration would take place in Nigeria on May 29.


The group accordingly demanded that an Interim National Government be constituted for the country after President Olusegun Obasanjo must have relinquished power on that day.

The opposition made the call at the launch of a compendium titled,”Mirror of a fraudulent elections” in Abuja.

The group added that its call was predicated on the fact that the majority of Nigerians had rejected the outcome of the general election.

The NUD also asked Nigerians to take part in the sit-at-home action that was being put in place by the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Nigerian Bar Association and the various civil society groups.
