Olori Oluwo of The Reformed Ogboni Fraternity Inc., Otunba Abiodun Oshowole, has passed on. He died after a brief illness on Sunday, September 26, 2010, after 14 years in the exalted seat of the head of the fraternity.



Among his remarkable achievements as Olori Oluwo was the launch of the book, Momento four years ago, to mark his 10 years in office. In demonstration of the ROF’s benevolence, he refrained from benefiting directly from the proceeds but on his instruction, the fraternity donated to various less privileged homes.



He will be buried on Friday, October 29 after an open air interdenominational service at the Police College ground, Ikeja. This will be preceded by a service of songs by The Reformed Ogboni Fraternity on Wednesday, October 27 at the Evans Square, Ebute Metta and a Christian wake-keep on Thursday, October 28 at his residence, Ajila House, 83 Abeokuta Expressway, Dopemu, Lagos.

Otunba Oshowole is survived by his wife, Yeye Otunba Aderonke Oshowole, children and grandchildren.
