Close to N1 billion naria is deducted from the monthly allocation accruable to Imo State to repay 26 billion naria bail out funds given to the Okorocha administration by the Federal Government.

This was revealed by Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha in his speech to celebrate his 100 days in office in Owerri, Friday.

” It is worthy of note that with our wage bill at an average of N2.5b per month, almost N1 billion monthly pension bill and in an atmosphere of very low IGR, leaves little for development.

“This is compounded by the almost N1b statutory deduction on our FAAC, majorly for the repayment of the N26.8b bail out funds, given to the last administration” the Governor said.

He explained his administration’s success in various sectors such as education, health, power supply, youth empowerment, agriculture, sports and provision of affordable housing soon

He said within 100 days in office, the State Internal Generated Revenue, IGR, increased from all time low of about 300m in July to 600m in August which made the State qualify for performance based grants of the World Bank and other multinational development institutions.

According to him, workers salary has been restored to 100 percent, backlog of local Government workers paid.

He added that all unjustly suspended Directors, have been reinstated and his administraion has reversed some underserved promotions and sponsored officers to capacity building programmes.

Ihedioha said 14 critical raids are undergoing reconstruction while 70 Rural Roads network with a cumulative distance of 381 kilometers across 27 LGAs are under the Rural Access and Mobility projects, RAMP.

Rochas really deserves to be jailed. Even after collecting 26 billion in bail out funds, there is nothing concrete to show for. Tufiakwa

See his life?

Borrowed money to build statues yet the tourists for whom you built it couldn't impact on our IGR.

God will help me punish those who criticize Ihedioha for going after him.

Sell Okorocha's assets to make up for it. All his assets. Including his family's assets.

Let his children with foreign degrees work in imo without pay to make up for his looting.

That man is a demon.

cool

Seyi Makinde and Emeka bulldozer Amadhioha playing same script, first 100days create impression of empty treasury just to justify 10bn UBA loan(oyo) and World bank Grant(Imo)

The bailout was sorted for 26 out of 36 states to clear backlogs of salaries owed due to sudden shortfall in global crude price after Iran deal, so as to stimulate local economy through purchase power during recession

By Amadhioha's explaination, wage bill is 2.5bn per month, and clearing 13months backlog would cost 26bn+ ...

Now telling us this would inder development shows he isn't serious about government and increasing imo IGR to sustainable level, were they don't have to solely rely on fg allocation

Ihedioha is not bitter he's saying the obvious truth

Read this

Dr. Vitus Nduji Wrote:

The federal executive council through the Minister of Finance gave notice for the repayment of BAILOUT funds from the states that recieved it then...Imo State through former Governor Rochas Okorocha got the Bailout funds and was looted by him and his family members....
Today, Imo State have to pay for it.... We are going to pay back the bailout funds allegedly looted by Uche Nwosu....

And none of those asking Gov. Emeka Ihedioha to do wonders within 3 months wants to talk about this evil Okorocha brought upon us... Those ranting that Ihedioha is after Okorocha are now deaf, blind and dump...

Who doesn't know where he or she is coming from won't also know where he or she is going to.... If those billions of naira gotten from Okorocha for bailout was used to pay the pensioners who he refused to pay for years, at least if the current government are tasked to pay back, it won't be bad... But today, they will pay pensioners... They will have to repay the money back... This is man's inhumanity to man... Okorocha really dealt with Imo people... Suffer not a witch to live... He should pay dearly.

Ride on my Amiable governor. We must make Imo state great again.

For those bitter online miscreants that have been attacking Ihedioha all along, I hope you have seen he is doing great clearing the disaster and looting Okorocha led APC government created.

Okorocha is a disaster, it's unfortunate that a governor most loved from the onset of his administration will want to spite our face and introduce the rubbish political dynasty associated with his party, it can't work in Imo state, no singular individual or group of persons will be allowed to do that.

Ihedioha, we pray for you to excel, but also note that we are watching you closely, the moment you start going astray, the good people of Imo state will not hesitate to put you in line, we are not asslickers.

God Bless Imo state.

Okorocha had bigger dream of becoming the first igbo president.
I wonder who deceived him

Assuming he didn't have such ambiguous dream, he would have done well. At least steal like the rest and do small work here and there.
Once they enter there, their jujumen deceives them into believing they are indomitable and untouchable so as to continue milking them.
These guys are dummies.
