Buhari please increase the pump price to 200NGN please.

Buhari does not have the power to increase the price of petroleum. He is not OPEC. Only the alteration of the prices of petroleum products sold in Nigeria is within his jurisdiction.

why should government increase VAT when more than 50% of population are poor? goverment should rather reduce cost governance, minimise corruption and impose heavy tax on luxurious items. to minimize corruption, sanitize Nigeria police. If police is corrupt, fighting corruption will remain a joke.
You did impressed me with this article. If you were a lady,I would pay your bride price this friday and be properly married to you this Saturday.

If Nigerians are not happy about the increase, then what are they waiting...go and protest peacefully or suck it in silently.

They are increasing VAT yet minimum wage hasnt been increased. Over time its becoming glaring even to buharideens that this government no be am. Things will get hard ooo. Very hard. You all should brace up. Na state workers i pity pass. Esp Benue, Abia and Kogi state. I also pity private business owners next time when we vote we would look thourouly at what the person has to offer instead of being sentimental. Afterall did buhari give you a plan for his second term?? No ma to just shout APC!!! And sayvthebsame things like more employment, more electricity. Etc. Notice his campaign was done more by others for him... I am not rooting for atiku, but atleast we would have had what to use to critic atiku based on his on words. Buhari was silent

Buhari the Holy Looter.
You increase VAT by 2% to make more monies for Abba Kyari to loot on your behalf.

Buhari what has happened to all the Abacha loot that was returned to your govt?
What has happened to the monies derived from the pump price increment by your govt?
What has happened to the stamp duties your govt introduced?
What has happened to all the monies you have been borrowing upandan and putting the country into huge debts?
And yet you have refused to pay the 30k minimum wage that you deceived Nigerians that you will pay in order to get their votes.
The next thing will be for you to increase pump price again.
All in all, nothing to show for it.
You are just a wicked corrupt looter.
A petty thief in Aso Villa. Wolf in sheep clothing.
Continue to inflict hardship on Nigerians while you eat our monies dry.

I don't blame you, I blame the useless people that calls themselves your supporters.
God will judge you and your crook uncle Abba Kyari.

Midolian, Passingshot, seunmsg.

Things aren't going on well in the country. There's hardship. Minimum wage is yet increased after about 7months of agreement to increase it, yet still VAT is getting increased. What's going on? sad sad

7% vat. No wonder Nigeria is undeveloped. People want good road, constant power supply, other good infrastructures but don't want to pay tax. How can the country develope with meagre 7% vat.

You have never paid direct tax obviously from your update.
Direct employees tax is more than 20% of his/her salary.

Plz stop writing as if you are not a Nigerian...
FG always tax Nigerians without giving us good road, constant power and other good infrastructures...
Na today....
How can the country develop when FG will pay N273 billion to the National Assembly ....
By the time their tenure ends in 2023....
Is it not the same tax increase they are using to fund their bills....

Have you phantom why there is low level of compliance? You think many Nigerians wouldn't pay their taxes when they see commitment from the government?
