Some leaders in the African continent have converged in Harare to pay their last respect to a man who many have described as the father of Zimbabwe.

Since Robert Mugabe’s death was formally announced some days ago there were speculations as to how the country will honor a man who has so divided opinion about his role in modern Zimbabwe.

There was news of some controversy between the government of Zimbabwe and Mugabe’s family over where the national icon will be buried.

But all that gave way when the funeral arrangements were made public.

Leaders such as Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and Nigeria's vice president Yemi Osibanjo, graced the event.
