What do Nigerians have to celebrate on October 1st ?

Is there anything to celebrate ?

Should we altogether cancel these celebrations ?

God's Providence inspite of the difficulties, Average Nigerians can still afford two square meal a day. There's still hope for us in this country.

- Corrupt governors who refuse to pay salaries to civil servants
- Religious radicalisation and fanaticism
- Tribalism
- The worst roads in the world as one said earlier
- No electricity in 2019/2020 - Big disgrace
- Wanton murder and cheapness of human life
- Encroachment on the rich and fertile land of the South by foreign Fulani gangs
- Corruption , corruption , heartlessness of leaders and cruelty of the high and mighty
- Poor man oppressing other poor men and making their lives a double hell.

Okay I stop here.

But surely , there has to be ONE thing to to celebrate ?

But that is celebrating God's mercy and providence , which I totally agree we need to be thankful for.

What can we celebrate on Independence day as our achievements as a country called Nigeria ?

There are things worth celebrating if you look deep into this nation how it has carried itself so far. We all will keep moving forward, nothing can break us.

Carried itself so far in what sense ? lol

Name one achievement, concrete achievement of Nigeria as a country and that is of benefit to its citizens.

God's Providence inspite of the difficulties,....

WHERE IS IT? YOU TAKE COMFORT IN YOUR MISERY UNDER THE WORD "GOD", AND KEEP HOPING THAT MAGICALLY, HE WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FOR, AND SAVE YOUR ASS FROM ALL THE MANY TERRIBLE THINGS IN THIS COUNTRY.

SADLY, MOST PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE LIKE YOU.
BECAUSE OF YOUR MENTALITY, WE WILL HARDLY REACH THE LEVEL OF GODLESS CHINA AND JAPAN BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE HOLD THEIR GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE AND WORK TO BETTER THEMSELVES.. INSTEAD OF LEAVING THINGS IN THE IMAGINARY HANDS OF AN IMAGINARY GOD THAT HAS NEVER BEEN THERE, ISN'T THERE, AND WILL NEVER BE THERE.

October 1st is just a historical day, nothing else. It's compulsory we recognize the day but nothing to celebrate.

As a Nigerian, celebrate Gods goodness upon your life

But as Nigeria concerned, enjoy your NEXT LEVEL to the fullest because as for me, I have no president and a nation with no president is not a country.
