Nigeria, the place I call home;
I'm Eager to see 1year of stable electricity;
Nigeria, my only homeland;
Nigeria @59, should I be elated or be mourning?

Nigeria, my pride;
Patiently I'm waiting to see you undivided along religious, ethnics and tribal lines;
Nigeria, my source, my origin;
Nigeria @59, should I felicitate or castigate?

Nigeria, my unique identity;
When will there be jobs for all?
When will your youths return from exile?
Trooping into foreign lands as aliens;
Leaving you drained and desolate;
Nigeria @59, should I be joyful or sorrowful?

Nigeria, my arsenal;
When can I feel safe and strong on my land?
When can I sleep with my two eyes closed?
When can walk around without fear of kidnap?
Nigeria @59, are we celebrants or reprobates?

Nigeria, my allegiance;
I beg you to return confidence to your citizenry;
My dear nation, for how long will you be lost in despair and hopelessness?
Nigeria, you are a year older to day, should I be glad or sad?

I'm thirsty for a Nigeria;
Where WASSCE/WAEC/NECO will be written the same way IELTS & TOEFL are written;
In purity, dignity and honesty;
Not as obtained in miracle centers;
Nigeria, when will you stop celebrating mediocrity and embrace ingenuity?

Nigeria, my fatherland;
I call upon you for potable water;
I beseech you for accessible road;
I summon you for safety of lives and properties;
Nigeria, my motherland.
Nigeria @59, should I jubilate or ruminate?
