Mediocrity In Abia Governance Reason For Nonpayment Of Salaries – Chief Iko by Metrixnews: 7:57am On Oct 05, 2019
An industrialist, Engr. Ndukwe Iko has said mediocrity in the corridor of power in Abia state is the major reason why a lot of workers in the state have not received their salaries in a long time.

He also said the inability of some state Chief Executives to pay workers’ salaries is largely because they lack the needed exposure and competence to be leaders.

In an interview with ABN TV at the weekend, he insisted that some of them have not had the opportunity of managing businesses where they can employ workers and as such do not understand the urgency of payment of salaries.

He also expressed dismay over the economic woes currently holding the country by the jugular at both state and federal levels, saying the creation of specialized universities is the way to get the country on the path of prosperity for the people.
