It took about 1 year for my card to be ready way back in 2015. I wonder how long replacement will take.
Why should the national ID card expire sef?
It should only expire once the person is dead if you ask me.

Those ones are thieves. It's free at Ikeja where I obtained my own. In fact the oga there will tell you all not to pay any person before they start attending to you all. The only challenge I encountered there na the crowd.

You have to pay to be a citizen and you still have to pay to renew your citizenship. My question be say, if I no pay does that mean am not a citizen?

To renew your citizenship as a NIGERIAN, You have to pay N5000 through remita. Can someone tell me who will really offend in NIGERIA�. Either u like it or not u will pay d money one day.

this happened to be a direct punch. basically they are telling people not to register, collect their card or renew. market women and people will remain with voters card instead.

just came back from shomolu local govt.if u are able to pay 2k-5k, be rest assured that u will be enrolled and collect yr NIM pin within 30mins.

Na this same country we’re advocating for every citizens data to be documented and stats are profile should be available especially for security reasons

These cards can be produced for less than N200; but they won't give you the licence.
AND THEY'RE GETTING IT WRONG ALREADY AGAIN.
THE FOCUS SHOULDN'T BE THE CARD BUT THE NUMBER. the validity & highlight of their services should be how bodies requesting the cards can verify the identity/number if quoted EVEN WITHOUT THE CARD!

the company is already enabled by law and is going nowhere like prior I'd card projects...
the current staffers are only in a hurry to "loot" their share of the national cake & milking the public before their services expiration.

I lived in more than four countries before settling down in what l called my country. This is my first time to hear that nationals pay to get idcard, and foreigners do not pay unlike all the countries only the foreigners pay,even some countries pay their citizens for idcard enrollment.

Is the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) talking about renewal (of an expired card) or replacement (of a lost or damaged card)?

As several have mentioned on this thread, many of us are yet to get the identity card, so the issue of renewal or replacement does not yet arise. Or is this a subtle way of asking everybody who wants to collect his/her card to pay N5,000 under the pretext of "renewal"?

Why did God actually create this country?
