Who own Edo,delta and yorubaland, Is it Benin republic or Nigeria.

History says the french union now Benin republic were the one who first sign treaty in 1888. A treaty was sign with Benin republic (french union) But the british saw that the french were signing treaty. even while the british were the one who came there first, but they did not sign a treaty. they just did business. The british had to approach the french in a gentle man agreement . Technically in law you may say Benin republic own the land.

What damn, read the agreement, it only remove the french but the treaty was sign with french. And it talk of about the border, Get what it talk about the border.  And read who really is in control of the land.  If it is benin republic or Nigeria.
