it depends on the means you use. A company bus like ABC or short short movement (taxi from mile 1--seme--bike to cross you into benin--taxi from benin--aflao, bus from aflao-Accra or kumasi.This style is recommended for experienced travellers.) Short short movement is way cheaper around 8-12k and less comfortable. Company bus 19-25k and more comfortable. If you are going for a short stay in ghana is advisable you use any of this national id,driver license, voters card. And carry your authentic yellow card(so many fake yellow card). If you carry passport you will spend more money in seme/aflao border.
If you insist of using Passport get ready for extra charges.

I just came back from Ghana
It will cost you almost 10,000 for going 10k for return, but i just spend 15k for both

Idiroko border is easier way, from Oshodi to Sango,from Sango to Idiroko take Bike to cross border #500 from there you can enter direct #4500 or 5000

With less than 30k from Ogun state.....from Sango to cotonu is less than 5k and from cotonu to border between Togo and Ghana is about 10k to 15k then enter Car to Ghana for less than 6k
seem to alfao(border between Togo and Ghana) is 6000Cfa which is arround 4000 naira. Aflao to ACCRA is 28CEDIS which is 1,820 naira

For a fresh passport, expect to spend up to 20k to and 15k fro.

If you do not have international passport, you may not be allowed, or you have to pay heavily..those immigration officials are not smiling since they closed border.


The best route would have been through Mile 2-Badagry-Seme Border to Benin,Togo then Ghana via Aflao usually hour from mile 2 to Seme border but for the bad road and traffic you may spend up to 3 hours or more.

Ghana is more expensive than Nigeria and I usually advice saving a little more for Dubai instead.

Nothing much in Togo and Benin asides their language and I like the fact that the good road and security they've got makes them cultured unlike Lagos.

Traveling to Ghana as a nigerian might be a little tarky if u do not have international passport as te borders to Ghana do not accept Nigerians to pass through with identity cards. so u must have an international passport.
