This article was only helpful in providing a summary of events in the UK post Brexit referendum. I could give a pass mark to 'Talent drain', but the other points are no impact of Brexit on Nigeria.

Wait till the British turn Africa into a semi colony and market to dump their products
Semi colony indeed. Which products do the british have? Their products including agricultural products used to come...and still come from the EU...their IT and Telecoms equipment inclusive and Germany happens to be a big player in this sector. With taxes and high cost of transportation and lots of spends on expertise and technical personnel, UK would be hit hard and they're quite aware of this. That's why they're making alternative moves by relaxing their immigration rules. For your information and as a move to create an alternative to the perceived vacuum that would be left behind for too long, should they break off, students are now given the opportunity of working for 2 years in the UK after their programmes, for those who wish to stay back. You know what what means? I urge you find out.

Brexit is not coming any time soon as UK were not well prepared when they voted in favour..

We should be expecting another extensions after Jan deadline ..

Only if the Brexit notion wont die should there be a new election or a new referendum

You are so on point. The system doesn't seem to favour brexit and so it may never happen

Election all over the world is not that simple ... for example: Brexit ;

How can approximately 52% seal the fate and faith of 48% .... ..... What happened to the interest of the 48%

Those who voted in favour voted emotionally and to me majority of them are semi-educated and Less informed .....

Now, the elites are finding it difficult to achieve favorable terms under Brexit ... EU ain't dumbass .....

What is favourable to EU will be less Favourable to UK (UK still want to maintain Royalty) ......

What is Favourable to UK will be less Favourable to EU (Belgium will not accept defeat) .... grin
I hate this your analogy. Majority is always majority. Or they should adopt America's electoral college practise which I think is a well thought out and perfect way to conduct an election

Brexit = Br+Exit = British exit. They want to exit Europe.

The question here is,,,, Do they want to leave Europe to form their own Continent?

And

Either ways, will they still offer Nigerians the UK
visa?

Britain may become more proactive in assisting Nigeria against Bokoharam and less collaborative or neutral with French clandestine activities in the region.

I'm more concerned on the brain drain issue. If this Brexit should happen, the United kingdom would create policies and programmes in extorting developing nations of their intellectuals. I implore the government to formulate policies that would disrupt or discourage people/intellectuals in leaving the countries, and must make sure that the implementation process is surely enforced.
Nigeria really can't afford its intellectuals to start leaving with different problems facing the nation, we really can't afford the extortion of our intellectuals.
Re: How Will Brexit Affect Nigeria? by Nobody: 10:49am On Oct 29, 2019
All brexit delay tactics is by elements in govt hoping they can change the will of the people to protect their own selfish interests in a second referendum. Boris' deal obviously was good enough to accomodate britons rights. Just goes to show that democracy is really a wash, can easily be compromised, like nigeria that can't even get restructuring when we all want it because of elements we elected to represent us who only see their opportunity to exploit the current system for personal gain. In simple terms, any system having humans at the helm of it will eventually go awry. Meanwhile @OP, this article really isn't incisive in terms of analysis and definite prescriptions as a result. You already said all your points can't be validated as regards effect on Nigeria so why the baseless projections. In any case, this is one of those articles that gives you hope that nairaland will eventually regain vision for relevant information constructive and eliminate all this newfound penchant for petty, unenlightening issues they bring to front page.a
