Saudi Arabia is organizing its 2nd "Davos in the Desert" on a bigger scale than the original Davos itself!

Nearly the entire world is in attendance, either at full governmental level (like Nigeria) or economic/business level (like the USA). One thing is sure to be drowned out by the noise from the billion dollar discussions from the movers & shakers in attendance, that is, the curious case of Jammal Khashoggi! The first "Davos" was in the wake of his gruesome murder at the Saudi Embassy in Turkey last year which very much overshadowed the summit leading to boycott by many nations and businesses. However, as money is money and power politics is power politics, everyone is in Saudi Arabia this year for the 2nd summit with deliberate forgetfulness of the still to be resolved murder of the Saudi born journalist.

I can't blame Nigeria. Our relationship with Saudi Arabia is too important and our current economic and financial profile too delicate for us to moralize about who we say hi to on the international stage or who we pay a visit. So what is in the Davos of the Desert summit for Nigeria? I'd rather take the answer to my twitter page than here on NL. Folks here seem to be too glued to their post-election loss trauma induced hatred for our president (or post election victory intoxication for the other side) to care about any meaningful discuss on Nigeria's presence at the so-called Davos.
