I agree with much of what you have said though the word "spiritual" is often misused in Nigeria to mean having to do with magical or supernatural forces and in that sense I agree with you you

However Spirit is at the heart of mental wellbeing and illness hence expressions like

"to be in good spirits
how are you in your spirits?"
etc

Also that spirituality is not causative does not mean it has NOTHING to do with mental illness as you forcefully assert
