The Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, has disclosed that concerned stakeholders of the board of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA) have been pressuring him to probe Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the immediate governor.

Makinde who made the disclosure when he inaugurated the board of the SACA, said the past SACA board under the chairperson of Mrs Ajimobi committed some infractions in its mode of operation, The Nation reports

Go-ahead and probe the constituted first lady

Leave what is gone in the past, and same friendly gesture would be reciprocated when you are gone .

Isn't there an institution that is supposed to swing into action against such infractions without the direct intervention of the governor? Such that if the governor tries to intervene it will become "obstruction of justice", an impeachable offence?

He should not hesitate to probe her and her husband. He should also be ready to give account of his own stewardship after his tenure ends via a probe of his activities. And the cycle will continue.
